Curious to hear what your biggest hangups may be with the record, or maybe how it deviated from what you expected.
I think it definitely could’ve benefited from having its own project name.  (Worse yet, on that front, is that Spotify tries to straight up scrobble the album as Converge.)  It’s an enjoyable listen but I haven’t found myself looping it for weeks or months on end like a proper Converge LP when it drops.
It’s just going to be a more situational listen for me, I suppose.  I’m in a specific mood when I want to throw on Converge, and Bannon’s vocals scratch the proper itch in my monkey brain when I need that fix.  To have that diluted – maybe not an accurate descriptor; possibly blended – inside of a more theatric, moody atmosphere… it’s cool.  It’s fresh.  It’s fun.  But I don’t entirely know where it fits into my musical appetite and I suspect that’s why I’m not obsessed with it.

Ok so we know Equal Vision is finally starting to listen when people clamor for much needed represses, now they need to use that momentum and announce a vinyl version of A Little Less Teeth EP and of course Self Titled

Real and live!

Saw them live two days ago, they were amazing. Set was super tight and very loud, plus they had a very cool light show that really added to the dreamlike nature of some of the songs. 
 
My gf hadn’t heard the band and was raving about it afterwards. Slowly she’s getting into shoegaze lol
 
They were running out of merch by this point of the tour and I couldn’t get a tee in my size which was a bummer. Also they could only take cash or PayPal, I’d been so accustomed in these past few years to not have to fret about taking cash to shows anymore that it surprised me. I guess you can’t use a square reader if you’re not from the US? I might be wrong about that though.
