Hey all. First time on the boards in a long time, but I thought I’d post these here before heading to Discogs. 

 

Ive got a full set (7 records in total) of the Hot Water Music “Live in Chicago” set. 6x7” (#’s 1-6) and 1x6” (#6). 

 

Ive spent a lot of $ on these, so not looking to give them away.  PM me offers.

Bumping this thread as my wife and I welcomed baby Elliott into the world this morning.

 

Congrats dude! Elliott was the boy name we had picked out! Are you a False Cathedrals fan? 

 

 

Congrats! Fatherhood has forced me to slim down my hobbies, and along with brewing beer, collecting and listening to records is perfect. My son loves listening to music. I constantly have something spinning while we play together.

 

The biggest challenge was teaching him not to touch my records or gear, but that's gone surprisingly well. My wife went to put on a record a while back, and he ran over saying, "No, no, no. Da da's records!"

 

You might have to cut down on time spent with other interests, but your records will endure and become something you share with your child.

 

I've really stopped buying records, mostly due to the shitty exchange rate and shipping charges, but there's been many a night that Ada and I have "danced" (me holding her and dancing/swaying) to some of my favourites in my collection. 

So, update. We had our baby! Ada was born Feb 11 at 3:10pm, and 3 and a 1/2 weeks early. She's totally awesome. Though I'd share a few pics:

Ordered from FF.com...shipping alone to Canada was $23US, meaning I paid about $40CAD for this release. Thank you to the person who bought a shitty 7" from me on Discogs yesterday and Paypal funds I didn't know I had. Otherwise, I would have been looking for this one in stores.

Yeah a tour was probably wishful thinking. I've always regretted never making it to one of their shows.

 

I'm lucky enough to live close to Toronto, so I've seen them a ton over the past 15 or so years. So good. That being said, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...some shows in the states are well overdue!

Oh man. Would kill for new music + tour. But I would be happy if it was just one of those.

 

I don't really see a tour happening, unfortunately. The guys all have small kids and Kenny is still doing some touring with (I think) Say Anything.

 

Maybe we'll finally get some new stuff pressed. Theory of Harmonial Value and the ep would be the best!

I'm expecting my first at the end of Feb/beginning of March (we could have a leap year baby haha)

 

We're due March 5th, but I'm thinking it the Dr might change it to closer to mid-March.
