You just have to be careful when ordering from them to check the status of the record, as a lot of stuff that they don't have in stock is listed as backordered, but they'll still let you put it in your cart and check out. In most cases that record isn't getting re-pressed anytime this decade and I've heard that their customer service can be lacking. So as long as it says it's in stock under status, you should be good.

The black vinyl carries the same UPC number as the original vinyl, so who knows. I'd forgotten that the original was 2LP at 45RPM. It's one of my most coveted albums so I don't play it very often.

In Prism is finally getting a re-pressing, available on 11/18 in either yellow or black vinyl! By far their finest work, I believe.

No mention of it on the Merge site yet (they're notoriously slow to update this kind of stuff in my experience) but if you search these UPCs you can find a few pre-order links:

$43 for a 2LP album that will more than likely be pressed at a plant not known for their quality control? This is where I stop overpaying for new vinyl.

Does anyone have their 2022 pressing of Siamese Dream in hand yet? Mine was delivered late last night and I won't be able to pick it up till after work. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure where these were pressed and if they're any different than previous pressings.

Yeah, naturally like 30 minutes after I posted this I got a shipping confirmation.

Did anyone order the Faraquet reissue from Dischord and get a shipping notification yet? I've ordered a lot of stuff from them recently and they usually ship stuff out super fast, like the same day or the next, but I've heard nothing from them beyond the order confirmation.

I don't think that I harassed them on Insta, but they did promise a digital download for that release that never materialized, and when I emailed them about it a couple of times, I never got a reply.

Agreed, they were awesome for a long time and I ordered from them frequently, but they've really gone down hill recently.

Looks cool but they could've stopped after the first decade with his solo material and included the Sugar releases. His post-90s output has been mediocre at best, atrocious at worst. I wish he'd never discovered auto tune.

Looks like the copies I ordered are out for delivery today. Now hopefully they'll reissue In Prism next.

Drag City: Their site is primitive, they don't send out order confirmations, and in my experience they never EVER respond to order inquiries. They do ship promptly, though.

Numero Group and Light in the Attic: Both are great at responding to questions from customers.

Bull Moose: Also great at responding to customers in my experience.
