I'm brand new to this hobby and I was going to go out and buy some equipment. My Dad told me he has an old record playing system that he doesn't use anymore and said I could have it. I'm fairly sure the amplifier and speakers work, but the turntable wont spin. I had a look and seen what I think is the belt loose and broken. I pulled it out and it was indeed broken and very weak, probably because it was old. I'm also fairly sure the needle is worn out too.
