  1. That is pretty much the exact rationale to justify these high prices. You have the option to buy a manufactured rarity for a premium or a norally priced non-limited version. It would be more egregious to force anyone who just wants the records to pay inflated prices because no alternative exists.
  2. I'm not sure what recourse I have at this point. I'd really like to think they will make it right but I can't say I've seen anything to be optimistic about with these issues.
  3. On their facebook, 14 days ago William DeHass (is this a poster here?) posted about a missing boxset to which I replied. Later the band wrote that about missing sets going out. That post is the only mention I know of but I probably only saw it because I got the notification so maybe they've written it elsewhere. I haven't heard anything specifically about mine personally though.
  4. Band wrote on facebook that the missing boxsets will go out this week but I'm not holding my breath
  5. Has anybody who ordered multiple copies of anything from their store using the quantity box actually received all the copies they paid for?
  6. don't care what you listen to, but out of curiosity: how much are you willing to spend on unfamiliar records by a band of which you are a massive fan?
  7. there are services that will allow anyone to bid on yahoo japan auctions. i've been doing it for years. after paying the fees plus extra postage involved though, it's only worth it to buy items that are virtually impossible to find elsewhere.
  8. i could be wrong, but i'm thinking it was "start today" with walter singing...i didn't have the boot but remember seeing it listed in catalogs so i might be thinking of something different
  9. i'm a little annoyed at myself for forgetting, in my opinion, the best EP from Japan (maybe anywhere): Warhead "Cry of Truth" runner-up: Ikka Shinjyuu "Slow Down" both are absolutely essential
  10. Paintbox was probably my favorite active band when they were still going. One of the most unique and creative hardcore bands in a normally static scene. TTT shows the band could incorporate any sounds that influenced them and weave them into a hardcore song. Chelsea (RIP) was one of the best guitarists in punk/hc history and his creative touch is and will be sorely missed. I would urge anyone to pick up the entire Paintbox discography, which can be found on the Relicts collection and three full lengths. All three albums are different enough to have a distinct sound but are undeniably Paintbox, a band/sound truly unlike any other. I am actually wearing a Paintbox shirt right now.
  11. if you don't have something to protect your packages from the weather, talk to your carrier/PO and ask them to just leave notices for your parcels so you can pick them up at the PO
  12. here is a basic list of essential Japanese hardcore: GISM Gauze Lip Cream Nightmare Death Side Tetsu-Arei The Stalin Kuro Gastunk Systematic Death Bastard start with these and a whole world of amazing hc is there to be explored. i didn't mention any bands that originated in the past 20 years so there is a lot more. but this is a good start
  13. you don't need endicia to print shipping labels at home. if you use paypal you can print the labels with it or use usps.com to send stuff priority. there is no reason to need to wait in line if you're sending something domestically

  15. they still have copies of the 10" on black. they just aren't that popular with the vinyl crowd i guess.
