bear vs shark was amazing. i don't think any other word can some them up. i first heard buses/no buses on a equalivision promo and i made me want to cry. i had never heard a band like that before...but then i prob never will again. i followed them through the music and finally got to them at cafe metro in wilkes barre, pa on an off day from a fear before tour. i sat outside chain smoking with 2 of my friends on the sidewalk talking to two dude i had never met. an hour into talking i finally realized they were derek and the drummer (whose name eludes me). they were two of the coolest guys. they dominated a stage like i had never seen before. seeing marc with mike in his mouth laying on the keyboard and still playing was just mind boggling. he spent a large portion of that show touch my friends bard. i'll never know why. i saw them one more time at the same place with a bit of a bigger audience about a month before the broke up. i definitely miss them, but then to put out two solid records and fade into history is pretty amazing with all bands who have overstayed their musical welcome. better to go out on top i guess...

well since i was reading this and never knew hot topic carried vinyl...i drug my gf to the mall to check out what they had. it was reallllllly bad. i can't explain how tortured my soul was being in there but anyway...the selection sucked real bad. i was half tempted to by the half off def leppard picture disc. i ended up buying that purple smashing pumpkins 7 inch and for some reason...i'm not quite sure why...ok i guess it's cause i'm a sucker for that paramore chick...i bought the 50% off fueled by ramen/decaydance singles box set. i feel dirty...

Metro is my favorite venue of all time. I used to live about 30 minutes south of it and that is where I went to my first show ever. Last time I was there was when the Young Livers ran through for a little homecoming. I sure miss that place...

Hey all...new to the board and glad to find some other people who enjoy vinyl. I really want to get my hands on the YOUNG LIVERS new era drop test press! They are some old friends of mine and I'd love to have one! If you have one and are interested in selling it please let me know and we can work something out! I also want to get a white copy as I ended up with two purple. I don't really have too much for trade but I'll work up a list of my stuff next weekend when I head to my parents house.
