  2. Get some CDs free people! They are basically garbage, but they could be your garbage!
  3. Haha, it was part of a bulk buy from an eBay seller. I just had to get a high-quality copy of this song:
  4. Cleaning out my house, these CDs are all worth less than $5 on Discogs so it's not worth my time to list and ship them individually - HOWEVER! It's definitely worth it to me to get these to people who will listen to them. So I'm giving them away. The catch is you have to take a bunch at once, and I'm shipping them without jewel cases to save space and because I reuse the cases for personal projects. Albums with a * are digipacks, and ** are extra thick, so maximum of 3 *s please in order to fit things in a padded mailer, unless you want to pay extra for shipping. Otherwise, $5 for a mailer full of CDs. Send me a list in prioritized order and I'll try my best to fit everything in. Probably can get about 7 or 8 in a mailer? Alternatively: $30 for everything. Gotta take everything. It's like 60 CDs. I also have records and tapes for sale. 5. Yeah, I do wonder if there's anything in the vaults that we'll see sometime down the road. Their indie-era albums all generated enough B-sides to justify those bonus EPs, but it seems like they must have kept things pretty tight in the studio on the Tooth & Nail albums if even these big box sets don't have unreleased material. They could've at least done a flexi or something of the "Sweater" demo! I'm just relieved that the black box set lasted through this morning, I will never understand why they put all this work into the mastering and packaging of their releases and then go with the dorkiest swirl/splatter combos possible, which usually look nasty and always have hella surface noise.
  6. Really hope they get around to it eventually. At least half the reason I bought the other two re:think albums was to bolster the viability of A Legend of Chin pressing. Is this band still big, like do they do well in the Christian and/or general markets? Feels like it’s been quite awhile since I’ve heard people talking about their current work
  7. Womp womp, who could have predicted that scraping info from Discogs and using it to make a worse version of Discogs wouldn't be a runaway success. They did send me a box of LP mailers shortly after they started, which was cool.
  8. Have the previous waves of reissues stuck around? I’ll probably grab all the 2xLPs but don’t necessarily want to drop all that $ at once.
  9. This will 100% happen and anyone buying records in 2019 should be prepared for the eventuality of their entire collection being thrown into a dumpster by whoever is tasked with cleaning out their house after they die.
  10. Never listened to any Stavesacre, but it's promising that they're dipping into their 90s catalog as well.
  11. Not my favorite Chariot album, but ordered just on the promise that a higher-than-average degree of care was taken with this release. Also this seems like a good place to promote my WTB thread:
  12. It is in fact a very specific sort of video - a video that is set to music.
  13. FUCK YES. I've been waiting for The Rising since they announced the first box set. Also excited for 18 Tracks, and beyond stoked that Live in Dublin is being pressed. Such a great performance. It'll be interesting to see if this is the sum total of the 3rd box set (assuming it happens). Magic and the Seeger Sessions are still in print, but it'd be weird to just skip over them if the box sets are supposed to be a presentation of his whole career. Maybe they'll just round up existing copies to put in the box set?
  14. It looks like Sub Pop has announced a volume 5, before volume 4 is even finished. Artists will include Father John Misty, Ohmme, Clarke and the Himselfs, L.O.T.I.O.N. Multinational Corporation, TEKE::TEKE, Sumac, and Luz Elena Mendoza (of Y La Bamba). https://megamart.subpop.com/releases/sub_pop/sub_pop_singles_club_vol_5
  15. Hopefully you are aware she was part of a group that did a whole album of Mekons covers, along with Will Oldham: https://www.dragcity.com/artists/chivalrous-amoekons
  16. ??? SST, Homestead, Lookout!, Victory, No Idea? Suburban Home??? This shit is as old as independent music itself!
  17. Donnas won and is up for preorder - 180 gram yellow 2xLP with bonus tracks: https://shop.runoutgroovevinyl.com/spend-the-night-deluxe-edition-1.html?eml=2019November8/4798717/6416261&etsubid=186312040 Kinda slim pickins this month: Barbara Lynn - The Atlantic Years 1968-1973 Rollerskate Skinny - Horsedrawn Wishes Rank & File - The Slash Years The quote at the bottom of this month's email made me laugh out loud:
  18. Seems very dumb to me that, after their new album sold 1000 copies in like a week earlier this year, they pressed 1000 copies of a beloved album that has recently gotten a lot of recognition from music publications with serious clout.
  19. Setting aside that their quality isn't all that great, it's dumb to me that T&N continues to circle back to these titles that already exist on vinyl instead of one of their many other albums that have never been pressed. Press I Am Hollywood you cowards
  20. Damn, that list is some hot dogshit. Entry-Level Cool Dad Music 4 Babies! Trying to imagine the kind of person who Has $5k in disposable income Wants to own a majority of these albums on vinyl Doesn't already own the ones they like the most All I can come up with is... tech bros? Trust fund kids who are extremely late to the vinyl trend? Also LMAO x infinity at this inclusion:
  21. Full-length solo album, out 1/31/20. Saddle Creek exclusive sky blue vinyl /250, indie exclusive pink /700. https://saddle-creek.com/products/likewise https://francesquinlan.bandcamp.com/releases
  22. I thought it was because there are zero Bless the Martyr-era members still in the band and they felt weird about it. That's what I remember reading, anyway. They repressed O God the Aftermath and it wasn't super expensive.
