  1. Is that Lost Lake Butte Trail?
  2. Looks like its available now.. I just got this email from Amazon.
  3. That sucks. I've been using the Besta for a few years and it still seems pretty stable. Did you have the back panels installed? After seeing this, I may look to add some more reinforcement on the back.
  4. Looks great. I'm headed to Glacier in a week or so. Looking forward to it even more now.
  5. I didn't think I'd be finding this for less than $30. Glad that others were able to get in on it too.
  6. I just did a comparison between my SRC and OG and I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference in a blind listening test. After Ian left and they were getting their bearings as a 3 piece, there was a report that they started working with J. Robbins on a follow-up to Pedals, but I haven't heard anything else. Then again, there was also talk of a 2nd Walter Schreifels solo album and a teaser about something going on with Quicksand. Who knows if any of this stuff will see the light of day?
  7. If you are talking about climbing Mt. St. Helens, you need a permit and it's likely July is already sold out. Check out the info here: http://mshinstitute.org/index.php/climbing/index Otherwise, if you are just looking at doing some hikes around Mt. St. Helen's, there are plenty of great ones. Both Ape Cave and Ape Canyon are pretty great hikes too. Ape Cave is through a lava tube. The book 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles of Portland has these hikes and more.
  8. It wasn't too bad, just long. It took us 8 hours total. First section through the forest, then the boulder scramble section, and finally the ash section. The top is like kitty litter and it's two steps forward and one step back as your foot slides down. I hear the winter is a better time to do it. The top is easier to manage in the snow, and you can ski/slide down. Also, it's easier to get a permit in the winter.
  9. I finally got around to picking this up at a local shop today. Fully expected to get a black, but ended up with a green/purple merge. After first listen, I'm not sure why I waited so long to get it?
  10. Saddle Mt. is a great hike, I was trudging through snow up there in February several years ago. Check out Neakhanie Mt. Another cool coast hike. http://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Neahkahnie_Mountain_Loop_Hike
  11. I think he has some sense of peace with soul coughing now given the fact that he re-recorded a bunch of songs and even toured them. The other band members, that's probably a whole other story.
  12. I'm down for some Soul Coughing. Has anybody heard any of Mike's songs that he has been posting on drip.fm? I'm wondering if any of those will be seeing a phyisical release?
  13. I got a red Lightning Bolt and Mother Love Bone 7" today. I already have a black copy (actually 2 if you count my replacement) and the sevens box set, so I didn't need another LB. At least it's red.
  14. Those early PJ releases can't weigh much. Non-gatefold, lightweight vinyl. I don't know much about the non-PJ releases, but OG Ten and Yield are probably good candidates for you.
  15. Here's a picture from a recent summit of Mt. St. Helens. We had the top to ourselves for a whole 30 minutes.. Just enough time to eat lunch and snap a few pictures.
  16. Nice score!! Mine is due in tomorrow, but tracking hasn't updated recently.
  17. My two favorites are Mystery Machine and Treble Charger. Probably not enough of a draw for releasing their stuff on vinyl.
  18. Great image. When I was up there a woman was on the ground clutching the chains and crying in terror. My wife stopped at about that point. I moved past the crying lady and went up to the top. Best view in the park.
  19. I ended up getting one after about 30 - 40 minutes of dealing with the server issues. This is a pretty big gamble, so hopefully I get something good. We'll see.... My main wants from the LP list are Riot Act and Lost Dogs.
  20. I didn't get lucky with the blue variant, but I did get lucky with the warped/melted variant.
  21. Same here. I got through after about 30 minutes. It'll be interesting to see what comes out of it.
  22. Zion is on the top of my favorite national parks. Hiking angels landing and the narrows were the highlights. I recently did some day hikes on the eastern border of North Cascades NP, another amazing place. Yosemite, the Tetons, Yellowstone, all great too. I'm jealous too.
