One of my favorite bands. I found a copy of "Slippage" online via Discogs for $10 or $15. It's got a few bonus/live cuts on it, too. I believe it's a double LP. It's going for like $45 on amazon but if you hold out you should be able to snag a used one pretty cheap. They pop up fairly often. As far as I know that's the only Slobberbone album released on vinyl. I would LOVE to see "Everything You Thought Was Right Was Wrong Today" pressed, though. I love all their discs but that one is my favorite.

All of Wilco's albums are the same price as this and have similar packaging. Not sure why anyone is surprised there is no colored vinyl, additional 7-inches, etc. For what it's worth I think they take a lot of care in the vinyl they release and I think Wilco are responsible for some of the best sounding LPs in my collection.

I agree. It was fun/stressful to track down the 7-inches but it'll be nice to be able to listen to all of these songs without getting up every few minutes to flip a record. I'm curious how many variants they'll end up doing of these. Var, how about some of that fancy split color vinyl????

Rewind to 2008. HOT WATER MUSIC shocks many by resurfacing for a string of reunion shows. that's exactly how this works. Once the "rarest" version is out, we'll make note of it, and you can still buy the package (to get the other stuff) if it suits you. Otherwise, the 2nd & 3rd versions are available by themselves. Oh, I misunderstood the process. I didn't realize that once the rarest version was sold out the potential buyers would be notified. I thought it was most of a cross-your-fingers-and-hope-for-the-best type of scenario. Thanks for clearing that up and in that case I totally back this deal!

I think these should work like the Saddle Creek pre-orders. You pay more up front and get a poster or shirt you wouldn't normally buy with the understanding you're getting the rarest vinyl. To me, if you are buying the premium package and then you don't get the rare vinyl, there's no incentive.

I think the fact that AM! sold almost 250 copies of a $35 triple LP of rarities is actually pretty impressive. Also regarding whining about AM "losing their current fanbase," get over it, dude, people have been crying about that ever since they signed to Fat.

Try emailing someone at Volcom Entertainment. They are the ones who own the rights to the record and would likely want to press it themselves if there is enough interest surrounding it (it seems like their 7-inch club is doing well so they are well-versed on vinyl). As much as I love this album, I doubt that enough people would buy it to cover their costs but you never know. The fact that the record was "independently released" doesn't mean that you can just press it on your own without going through the proper channels.

I know a bunch of people who have seen it and everyone has said it's amazing. I am don't go to a ton of plays but definitely want to see this—and it's doing really well so I think they will probably extend it.

Dude, everyone makes mistakes. I think everyone would agree that what he did was stupid but that doesn't mean that he deserves to be dead. If you really feel bad for his family or friend, try showing some respect and compassion.

I think that Jack White/The White Stripes have a large enough following that anything he releases on limited-colored vinyl is going to instantly be worth a ton of money. It's not really my thing but it seems like he's done a lot to help get music listeners interested in vinyl and expose smaller bands (I'm talking about the Black Belles more than Stephen Colbert) so if people want to support him and pay this much for his releases, it doesn't bother me.

I'm sure it would be a hassle, but at least unlike RSD you won't be able to get this album anywhere in a month for less money.
