Yep. I'm guessing since all but Before Everything & After have been pressed on vinyl and obtainable (albeit for high prices) for upwards of 25 years, there are a fair number of people uninterested in this except for BEAA. Hardcore fans already have everything on vinyl.
Also, what a missed opportunity to sell a ton of box sets by including Let It Happen and making it an exclusive to the box.

It's been politicized for sure. Not saying masks don't have utility or that this is all a hoax.  Two things can be true at the same time.  Not sure why so many people try to put things into binary categories and play the football game, when life often exists in grey areas where aspects of both arguments have value. It can be true that Fauci is both knowledgeable in his field but also working with politicians in their power grab. So to say "not at all" is short-sighted, imo.

An argument could be made that he focuses on quantity over quality, but I really enjoy so much of his work.  A $21 record in 2021 – that’s how you do it.

Temporary Residence is having a sale today on their Bandcamp page for "dented" LP's.  Several Explosions In The Sky titles are included.

There's also a colored repress of William Basinski's Lamentations up there today in a limited edition of 500.

And right on cue, here come all of the Fauci / Pelosi defenders. 😆  Tell us what's so great about those two that would get some people's panties in a bunch over the mere mention of criticizing them?

Just because someone wants to see punk music questioning and criticizing authority doesn't make them "republican," but if it helps people wrap their fragile minds around something to hate and gives some privileged kids a villain to focus on in their sad lives, I'll play that role.  🙋‍♂️
    What would Propagandhi say?

Ive liked the last couple albums quite a bit. My only beef is that I kind of wish Mike would lay off the I cross dress and do drugs motif on half the songs

Hey Pure Noise, can we just nip it in the bud and get the least limited version with the screen printed/numbered/fold over cover NOW instead of in three weeks? Thanks.

I mean, you guys can make fun of this video all you want but have you actually tried the workout routine? After watching the video three times and following the moves, I'm already looking like the "after" photo for a Nutri-System commercial.

I don’t think I’ve ever owned 11 T-shirts of one band in my entire life, let alone 11 at the same time.

I remember their lame excuse when they signed to RCA. They said something about how they can spread their message to more fans.

Their live shows were always a good experience. Always an overwhelming sense of unity in the crowd. Seen them a handful of times going back to 2001 when they were on a side stage at Warped Tour. We were "woke" before woke was "woke." haha
I still agree with a lot of their views. But I do feel like they got soft on the establishment during Obama administration, and I'm more of a "criticize all politicians equally" kind of guy. I really don't like the taste of someone telling me "don't vote for this scumbag" while encouraging me to vote for another scumbag.  When I was younger it was easier to buy in to the hype, but in my older years the hypocrisy gets harder to ignore.

The conversation about outgrowing their view is interesting to me. I've had the opposite experience. I did not enjoy them or their views in the 90s/early 00s. I saw them a bunch just by virtue of opening for someone else (Bouncing Souls mostly). I was young. I just wanted to have a good time and not be preached at. I didn't care about politics. I saw them on their last tour twice and realized there was an equilibrium of their views and my awakening (and age). Their albums are hit and miss for me.

MrScorpio reacted to kylet in Interested in trying to license some albums, but have licensing/contract questions
My first release was a licensing deal. It sort of just all fell into my lap. I was friends with a bunch of bands from booking shows and touring. I had a lump sum of change fall into my lap (got hit by a car on my bike and their insurance bought me a new bike and paid me $3,000 not to sue). I was 20 or so at the time and didn't know what else to do with the cash. It was before the vinyl boom really happened so lots of smaller labels weren't interested in vinyl yet. I booked a show for a friends band about a month or so after I got the cash. He was complaining his label had no interest in pressing their upcoming record on vinyl (he knew I was a huge collector), and I was like well I happen to just get a  decent amount of cash, let's make this happen! He put me in touch with the label. The label was excited to have someone else deal with a "non home run type vinyl release". The label asked for 10% of the press and to give another 10% to the band.  No extra cash for licensing or anything. The label actually helped me figure a lot out because at the time I knew nothing about pressing a record. they also fully pushed that we were taking care of the vinyl in all the PR and didn't ask for any money for any of that (which I'm sure he had to pay for). So I had 80% of the press left to sell and recover my money, which I did. Had a run for about 8-9 years running the label, put out 21 records. The first record was the only thing I ever licensed though. I never officially hung it up. Just started having kids and running a more profitable business so my priorities kind of shifted.

My advice to you would be reach out to the bands first and see if they're interested. They probably either own the rights or can put you in touch with the people who do. You never known, may get someone like I did, who is just happy to see music they're involved with out on vinyl and not have to deal with the hassle themselves.

    Good luck!
