HardlineKid reacted to MCDELTAT in AFI - Sing The Sorrow 2xLP - Boot Available Today - NOW: Official Reissue Happening & PO Dropping
They’ve been intentionally both open and confusing about it ha. IG says /2,000 at the show, but this seems to be the same variant of a much larger pressing. They just happened to have that many at the show.

Great record. Haven't spun my copy yet, but been listening on cassette since it came out

I just listened to The End of an Error this afternoon. Really good stuff. Haven't listened to it in probably 8-10 years and still remembered most of the lyrics. While I couldn't think of the songs just by the titles, I remembered that Behind the Gun was the best song of the album

Hey man, it's from 'that time' in most people's lives honestly. I drummer on that album when I was 19, and now I'm 37!
And I would guess not, as that record doesn't seem to be in demand, but if enough people were interested - I might be able to squeeze 500 out of Drive-Thru, ya never know!

I fucking love that Houston Calls EP. Glad to see they're pressing more than just those EPs.

I have vivid memories of listening to this in my high school cafeteria every morning before school. While not an amazing memory, it does bring back feelings of being young. I appreciate those little things. Thanks for making the music.
Are you repressing end of an error?

Lmao that was obviously tongue in cheek, fellow vinyl collectors

Very interesting that Demitasse isn't on the tracklist. I guess it'll be like OCL where the first track was available as a bonus track on some releases
Fireworks was my favorite band in the 2010s, so I'm really excited

HardlineKid reacted to chamb117 in The Wonder Years - Came Out Swinging 7" and Don't Let Me Cave In 7"
there are probably old threads for these somewhere but not worth finding. "don't let me cave in" /500(?) was a preorder giveaway with suburbia. "came out swinging" /250 was given away with some AP magazine orders i think. they are hard to find, but both are at cold cuts for $20 each. you're very welcome:

HardlineKid got a reaction from lungfutang in On Sale 11/04: MxPx Life In General, Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo and The Ever Passing Moment
I'm usually not too bothered by these, but it's just been happening a lot to me lately. The first record I've ever bought without any intention of playing or selling - a signed copy of The Hum Goes on Forever - arrived from Looney Tunes with a massive bend on the jacket. Like shit, man... literally any other record but that one... Then these. I've bought records with VG/G jackets that look as good if not better than some of these I've been getting lately. This was after a year to a year and a half of pretty good luck with the post office.
Don't want to get too off topic, but one more post office anecdote: the day before the shitty MxPx luck, I had Stay What You Are from Amazon get delayed at the Amazon warehouse. Finally arrives yesterday, box slashed, with the record stolen. Excited to see what shenanigans await me with my next package.
After pretty good luck, it's reverting to the mean...

Guess I'm rocking a Saosin hoodie at 36 years old

Why do people keep spending hundreds of dollars on shit they know they'll get another shot at? Can you really blame the flippers? These people just never learn....

Anybody want to start an AFI cover band, call ourselves AFI, and start bootlegging live shows?

Man, they're so serious about not re-releasing their music that they won't even re-release this show. That fucking event is somehow a collector's item.

HardlineKid reacted to verb1999 in PO Now: August Burns Red - Death Below
Times sure have changed. Boomer checking in, who used to hit up Best Buy & Circuit City on new release TUESDAY, to buy new CDs having not heard any of it yet. Sometimes artists I was familiar with, other times, trying someone new who who had an attractive album cover. Or maybe heard word on the streets of an artist or band. In my old man ways, I do things the way I always have. Buy blindly. Sometimes it's hit, sometimes it's miss. Most times it's somewhere in the middle.
I always avoid new songs like the plague before the full album is released. Unless a band plays a new song live at a show before the album is out, be the only way I listened first. Otherwise, release dates are like holidays. So fun to have the entire album be completely brand new. Not already knowing & being familiar with ~1/3rd of it. It's weird hearing you guys be so demanding of a single before dedicating $ towards a project. Not weird positive or negative really, just a plain observation of how times have changed.
Which could branch off into a whole other conversation of how the full LP is on the outs, bands & artists talking about only releasing singles from now on...
