  1. About 335 LPs. I've been buying vinyl for a decade but I've had roughly the same size collection for a few years now. During that time I've been buying a couple records per month but I've been selling around the same amount. If I haven't listened to a record in a year or two I know it's time to get rid of it. I have yet to regret selling a record, though there are some I regret buying. I hate having stuff just for the sake of having it. If I don't use it, I don't want it.
  2. No, because of math. Say you have doubles of 5 albums and 1 gets messed up. That means you spent around $100 on a single replacement. And if 1/5 of your records become unplayable you're either insanely reckless or there was some sort of disaster that probably ruined your backup copies too. Chances are, all your copies will be as good as new when your kids are moving you into a nursing home and trying to figure out what to do with your stuff because they both live in different states and man those things are heavy and man they take up a lot of space, which means you spent 40-50 bucks per record instead of 20-25. And now they're in a box in a hot storage space, or a relative's garage, or a thrift store.
  3. Let's talk about how Jordan sounds like Zack de la Rocha on "Scenes from Highways" and how cool it would be if La Dispute added a Rage Against the Machine cover to their set list once in awhile. I think this is by far La Dispute's best album. Jaedong nailed the reasons why.
  4. I'm grateful, I really am, but how is Bullmoose making any money? Lower prices than any place around me, free shipping, and all 3 records I ordered were shipped individually with 2-day shipping (Maine to California).
  5. I love me some Wovenhand. I saw David Eugene Edwards play solo for about 50 people in a venue made for 500 and it was one of the most intense, powerful shows I've ever been to.
  6. I'm not usually interested in demos but this is one of my favorite albums of all time. I wonder if they'll let the EP go out of print and add those 3 tracks to this new release with the demos and unreleased stuff.
  7. Del Taco! - Their spicy jack quesadillas are awesome, whereas quesadillas at Taco Bell are always full of cold unmelted cheese (and TB cheese tastes fake and terrible anyway). Del Taco's beans are usually pretty good, whereas Taco Bell's are more like salty bean sauce. I've been to Taco John's a couple times while traveling and thought it was the worst.
  8. I think Discogs is the best option. You can add a review for every individual pressing and it appears on the same page as all of the other information about the press. The only problem, as stated above, is that people don't add many reviews. Here's an example: http://www.discogs.com/Radiohead-OK-Computer/release/1587168
  9. I'm okay with that. Some music is made for dancing, some for shouting along to, some for a backdrop while you hang with your buds, and some for shutting the fuck up. His music is "shut the fuck up" music.
  10. Choice quote: "I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I fuck him up right." - DMX
  11. I was lucky enough to watch the Super Bowl with a buddy who's both a lifelong Seahawks fan and major beer geek. We split each of these between 3 of us: Heady Topper Pliny the Elder Lost Abbey Track #9 Lost Abbey Track #5 Stone Vertical Epic 11.11.11 aged in red wine barrels Boubon County Backyard Rye The Bruery Grey Monday Wowza!
  12. I don't know what you're all talking about, this game was awesome!!!!!!!!! I mean, the squares were way fun, but this game was awesome!!!!!
  13. So, the first spot I see your name is the intersection of Seahawks 7, Broncos 0. You need the Seahawks score to end in a 7 and the Broncos score to end in a zero. You want the Seahawks to score 7, 17, 27, 37, etc. while the Broncos score 0, 10, 20, 30, etc. That's actually a really good box.
  14. Man, those tumblr dweebs have a really messed up sense of morality. Murderous desires, condemnation to hell and general hatred for a fellow human being over THAT?!
  15. Updated. I'm headed off for a long day at work. I'll respond to new PMs and package records tonight. Thanks.

  17. In reference to the deluxe version, why would anyone not pay an extra $5 for a whole extra album? "Sisters" is so good!
  18. If this is anything like Sea Change (like it's being hyped), I can't wait to hear it. It's the one Beck album that still resonates after more than a decade of regular play.
