  1. Selling my Jacob Bannon "On My Shield" artists proof and my Jason Edmiston "Monster Mash" print. Info in my for sale thread or just PM me.
  2. All items purchased shipped as of last week. New stuff added including a Jacob Bannon artist proof and Jason Edmiston "Monster Mash" print.
  3. I first read this thread title as Starship Troopers 2, and then trying to figure out where there was a funny maple syrup scene in that movie really messed me up for a minute. Now I get it and am onboard.
  4. I think esthetically it looks better than a Crosley, however you can see from the picture it has the same cheap plastic tone arm, head and replacable red plastic stylus. It breaks down to being no better than a Crosley and certainly not good for your records.
  5. That would make a lot of sense if I didn't have several Newbury releases myself. I picked up both their Al Green reissues, Little Richard, the Strokes reissue and would have picked up Marvin Gaye had someone else not informed me Motown reissued that one themselves on a nicer variant for half the cost. I posted about the other variants not for experienced collectors who know what's available to them but for inexperienced collectors who might not actually be aware that you can pick up that record for more than 1/2 the Newbury price. Maybe they just want a copy? Well, there are options. Trying to be useful, yes. Anti-Newbury comics? No.
  6. I just finished the "Leo Demidov" trilogy by Tom Rob Smith. All three are politcal thrillers that begin in pre-Stalinist Russia and extend through the Russian ocupation of Afganistan in the 80's. The main character Leo is the common thread through all three books. He starts out a fanatically loyal MGB (pre-KGB secret security force) agent, and ends up a disillusioned advisor in Afganistan and looking to defect. The first book is a search for a serial killer attacking children along the railroads and the states refusal to believe that a serial killer would even exist in the new Communist era. The second is post Stalin's passing and the fallout from his death. Pretty interesting reads although the last book lost a bit of steam after the first two being really entertaining reads. Also if you check them out and like them the first book had been made into a movie starting Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman.
  7. I picked up The Contours - Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance) 1962 Motown album this weekend (also featuring the wonderfully titled track "Can You Jerk Like Me").
  8. This happens so that people who want the option to pay a reasonable price have it. Unless you have stock in Newbury, why do you care?
  9. $26 plus shipping... or $12 at Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/ip/34436731?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227022846441&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40967062832&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=78910522232&veh=sem or $11.50 at Oldies.com: http://www.oldies.com/product-view/13816V.html?c=gbase&gclid=CIrRjLLOwcQCFYc7aQodDI0AHQ or $14 at Interpunk: http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?source=99&item=42620&gclid=CKPUqMTOwcQCFUlk7AodpxEAAw
  10. THIS! I work with a guy who get a side of mayo for his breakfast burritos at work and it makes me so sick. If he gets a sandwich he puts extra mayo on it... It's disgusting. I can't handle it. Oddly enough though, the only time I can hang is if I make a tuna sandwich for myself. For some reason I can put the mayo in and still enjoy my sandwich (if anyone else makes it though, I'm out). I'm not sure what's wrong with me...
  11. Anything having to do with vinegar (hot sauce, buffalo wings, pickled anything...), mustard, mayo and salad dressing.
  12. This was the most serious suggestion in this thread.
  13. That is a Crosley for sure (no surprise as the owner is playing a shitty release from a shitty company headed by a shitty person).
  14. Also, is it sealed? I can't tell from the photo, but if unsealed should be graded as NM or less.
  15. Absolutely. Someone tell Juan and Rambo we've done more than enough work to have this thread locked already.
  16. 130am - USPS is closed. 630pm - USPS is closed. 12:50pm - Lunch Break?
  17. By the way, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Brock has 3 pages of positive feedback going back to 2012! He has 59 positive comments left on good interactions with verified board members both as a buyer and a seller. You have 6 total comments, half of them shitty and more than half of them comment on how terribly you packaged their records!
  18. Poor guy doesn't even own a record label... just a peehole who get's downvoted a ton.
