Just to let you know..anyone who didn't post a pic is automatically out. we were very thorough about who posted pic or didn't. i was also very thorough about who didn't send me confirmation #'s and just sent their package. 2 years in a row some of you disregarded the rules. If you are new you are gonna have to be vouched by someone who's already done it. if you vouch for someone and they flake, you are in charge of making up for that gift. sound fair? did anyone else have any problems last year?

Who's down again this year? It'll be open for a week.

I'm with you... The last 4 episodes of Six Feet Under were some of the hardest episodes to watch. The series finale was flawless. GoT finale for this season was impeccable. I loved it so much i watched it 3 times. lol

Well looks like i'll be there again.

Coupling is humorous. well at least the first 3 seasons. the 4th was way off..and wasn't worth watching, but the first 3 (mainly the first 2 seasons) were excellent.

I'll be there for sure.. Just like i am every year. Hope to meet a few of you this year. Hopefully i don't get sick like i did last year. Didn't see a band the whole fest. luckily i got to see everyone pre-fest. I did have a publix sandwich though, so i had that going for me.

When i heard the news yesterday I broke down in tears. The only musicians deaths to do that were Stevie Ray and Michael Jackson. it took me 10 minutes to pull myself together before work. All i could do is blame how i looked on allergies. The man was a musical genius and when performing, made things look so effortless. A single bend of a string had more emotion than most band's discographies. His Super Bowl will go down as one of the greatest Super Bowl halftime shows in history. He did it live, he did it in rain, and didn't skip a beat. He proved not even bad weather could stop his performance. Having grew up on him all throughout my life, I couldn't imagine him not being on this earth. I'm just so glad i was blessed to have lived in the era of Prince. Even in heels and makeup, he was still more man than most. He will be revered always and loved by millions. A great musician/songwriter/poet/humanitarian etc.etc. A true musical genius and great person. May he rest in peace. And may the angels (proverbial) serenade him with song as good as if he wrote it himself. Godspeed. RIP Prince

that's why i go. the friends i say make fest fun every year. it's half the reason i go. Also, i'm gonna make it a point to have a publix sandwich every time i go to FL now.

weirdly enough, last year's pre-fest was my funnest yet. probably because i made a point to see every damn band i hadn't seen or remotely liked and was totally blown away by a few. i never got to fest because i got sick the first day and was bed ridden all weekend. but luckily i saw all the bands i wanted to see, minus old flings, during pre-fest. 8x for me, and while it's cool to see the headliners, i've seen most of those bands numerous times before over the US so i was looking forward to more of the regional and foreign acts that don't tour to TX.
