  1. Point taken. They probably paid people to assemble them in the end, it's ridiculous, they're cashing in because the market will bear it. They still owe WB and WB said this pressing would count as sales. The major label system has problems, now getting its comeuppances.
  2. You're the most beautiful girl in the whole wide room.... TBH- i'd sooner see Have yourself a meaty little christmas. Happens to be 42 mins long! And why isn't Chef Aide or Bigger, Longer & Uncut on vinyl?
  3. To be fair, for this 2016 pressing Warner made Failure personally buy them for retail cost. WB manufactured the discs, but Failure had to glue together the jackets and put the records in the sleeves and all that. Yes Failure loves you that much. They should have an Apple like sticker "Designed and assembled by Failure. Made in Warner Brothers' Pressing Plant."
  4. I like the Mene 7", packaging was a pleasant surprise. I might even consider the 10" now. I'm just glad they released the demos in lossless. Bought that shit the instant I saw it on bandcamp.com
  5. If you would mention to anyone from Finch, a few of us would really like WAV/CD/vinyl/coolUSBstick copies of the 2009 (aka world of violence, all 9 of them) and 2015 demos (aka Phantasma, all 9 of them).
  6. well if we are being scientific..... here's what the rest of the band aka the rhythm section (no nate, no randy) wanted to do stylistically: There's one other track and an oblivion b-side... idk man just not feelin' it!
  7. As you all know, Nate's Mike Patton impressions and all things Say Hello to Sunshine and onward weren't to every Finch fans' liking. Apparently Nate quit Finch, he wanted that direction and the rest of the band didn't want to take chances/make interesting music etc. Also Nate gifted fans with 9 unreleased demos from the summer 2015 sessions... they're fire IMHO
  8. I got my blue copy. I am really into vinyl just for sound quality/mastering... so if anyone wants to buy the 10" original version cuz completist/collector give me a holler.
  9. I've had these too. The HT green is not great. Kinda wish I hadn't sold the SV copy, the buyer alleged that it never showed up. It was tracked too. Stupid USPS. I bought the HT press, cuz why not? The red press is just like the CD, and sounds shallow and pedantic. Curiously I had the pic disc 2xLP and that was nice. But the superaltive version for me has to go to Simply Vinyl. I've refused to sell it and my original Mechanical Animals & Holy Wood. I did have Grotesque too, which I sold for like 20 bucks more than I paid for it, so yeah couldn't live with having a $180 record.
  10. Me too. I was tipped off by a friend a local used CD store had a basketball copy. Yes i bought it and still have it.
  11. Good show SRC, i was wondering why it was 2 LP for a 42 minute album
  12. Shoot, I'm so happy. They couldn't charge too much for this in my eyes. Chevelle's Point #1 & Fiona's When the Pawn... and I don't need any more 90s releases on vinyl.* *that haven't been pressed at some point
  13. https://www.srcvinyl.com/catalog/product/view/id/6739/s/gin-blossoms-new-miserable-experience-2xlp/category/53/ Yaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Now SRC.... just do Chevelle's Point #1 from Albini's mastertape and Fiona Apple's When the Pawn... And I won't pine for any 90s releases.
  14. That would explain some things but not others, plainly because other sampled records are released on CDs which are a physical medium. Also in Frank Ocean news, this is old but you can finally buy a FLAC version of nostalgia.ULTRA from 7digital. Sure "american wedding" is deleted, but that's no surprise. There is FLAC of that track floating around on the 'net but I can't vouch for its lossless-ness. Also you can buy Blond in FLAC on Tical if that's what you're into.
  15. Y'all hatin but I needed to not pay 50 bucks for Devil without a Cause. Thanks FYE, I'm canceling my membership now.
  16. I think I pre-ordered, my email was from March 13th. Can I cancel? I don't really mind giving TDE extra money, but if I never get the record that would actually bother me. Also Butterfly is now only $21 on prime. Shoot I just wasted 8 bucks.
  17. I wish this would come to fruition. Simply a 24 bit catalog release in lossless. Keep the dynamics found on the vinyl releases, do that for Salival & 10k. It also seems odd they don't release "Wings for Marie/10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)" as a surround track. It already has all that stupid sounding thunder on the CD.* *by stupid I mean unrealistic. if you've ever watched a movie with surround sound, you know what i mean. it can sound startling and awesome.
  18. it's cuz she says 'classic vinyl' in Daddy Lessons. she's being meta and ironic.
  19. Extra extra. I have a great copy of the gold RSD deftones b-sides & rarities that would look great framed. Cuz track A1 and B1 don't play right cuz it was dropped or smushed on the side during manufacturing (it's out-of-round on the edges). So I not only will include both records but one is special.
  20. Fastbreak is an appropriate name for this record.
  21. I bought this originally. It's one of the best mastered LPs I have. I wonder if Patton will ever get around to releasing the second volume?
  22. I finally got something besides a Numark! ProJect Essential II Digital. Yes analogue is cool, but 24bit 96khz optical out is a wonder to behold. Now if only I could get my 8 year old Mac Mini to quit flipping to 48khz when I plug in the turntable I could do some proper rips.* Either way, quite pleased with the sound. Now to re-rip all of my records I still give a crap about. *Currently relegated to optical into my Onkyo receiver or analogue via rca-to-1/8" in to my mac.
