A CD in a paper sleeve would add several, nay, dozens of cents to the production cost of this album. $28 is bonkers. You clearly don't understand licensing. You aren't paying for the PACKAGING, you're paying for the additional license for the music on CD. For every format you own it, you need to have a license. Though yes I agree it is quite steep...

As everyone has stated pretty much, if you don't have any Floyd yet on vinyl and want it....go to your local record store and buy an old copy.
