  1. Cool, I'm sold. I'll order it from No Idea. They're always the cheapest, to the best I can tell. I think I'll need to sample more of his old stuff. The couple songs I heard off old albums didn't do much for me.
  2. A friend told me that the new Ted Leo LP comes with access to the digital files so you don't have to buy both formats. Does anybody know if this is true? I looked at the LP for sale at No Idea and Interpunk but don't see any indication. I was going to order both CD and LP, but obviously don't want to do that if it's not necessary. This would be my first Ted Leo CD so I don't even know if that's the best place to start.
  3. Can somebody explain what 'inside out' is? Or post a picture? I can't visualize it. I have been a little less eager for clear vinyl when I was told (and I think it was Virgil who told me this) that clear vinyl doesn't sound as good and will wear out faster. Actually, the part about wearing out faster I think came from someone else. The new Pig Destroyer is on clear light blue and that's pretty nice though. I don't know, I'm just really into any record that looks different from my others.
  4. Not really. Vinyl is a non-count noun. It doesn't have a plural form. Just as there's no plural of air, soil, or music. So vinyl is not the plural of vinyl the same way fish is the plural of fish.
  5. I wish I could get Motion City Soundtrack "Commit This to Memory" and Hostage Life "Walking Papers".
  6. I don't think I have anything that's valuable, but a few of my favourite albums that I'm very pleased to own on vinyl: - Midnight Oil: Diesel & Dust (bought for $1) - The Falcon: Unicornography (pretty pastel orange) - Set Your Goals: Mutiny (nice brown and clear swirl) - A Tribe Called Quest: Low End Theory (found used) - Van Morrison: His Band & Street Choir (another from the $1 bin) - Dillinger Four: all 4 of their albums (best punk band around) - Chamberlain: Exit 263 (most underrated band ever) - The Hold Steady: Boys & Girls in America (baby blue) - The Get Up Kids: On A Wire (black, scored off a friend) - Snow Patrol: Eyes Open (the biggest sound quality difference between LP and CD I have yet to hear)
  7. ...that a recording sounds better on vinyl when they don't believe you? Just curious in case I can add some more info to my repetoire.
  8. Thanks for the Moneen tip Brian. I didn't know that was available either. The new Antigama LP from Relapse is the prettiest thing I've seen in a while. Bright forest green (slightly transparent) with flecks of yellow and some other colours... I also preordered the new Pig Destroyer. I hope they put as much thought into the aesthetic of that one too.
  9. I'm waiting for my CD copy of this to arrive in the mail. I don't know if I can spring for both the CD and vinyl without hearing the whole thing first. But I take it it's that good? And why would the black vinyl be so limited? That goes against all the norms I have ever observed...
