  1. I agree, it's an awesome package if you're a fan. Even if you don't have a tape deck, it's a cool collectors piece. I'm a sucker for hand-built/hand-printed packages though.
  2. I haven't heard anything about "Moondrifts". Is that a new album? Regardless, I'm excited for it. I'll be placing a pretty decent order once that is up and I am done moving.
  3. the KC venue also seems way too big. the internet says capacity is 3500+. I still can't get over the fact that they're playing Radio City Music Hall. I'm sure playing these huge venues is an awesome experience that you may not want to turn down, but I would not want to risk playing to a half empty seated venue. That doesn't sound like a fun show for anyone involved.
  4. Merge is always free shipping within the US. And they always put out quality packages. That said, their prices are still pretty high.
  5. I was actually listening to this today on NPR's first listen. I didn't finish it, but really enjoyed what I heard.
  6. where'd you catch 'em at? they used to roll through Auburn (almost) every tour through the south I saw them a few times in Pensacola, long before I moved to Auburn. They toured with Cruiserweight every once in a while, and CW8 played pensacola all the time. Pretty sure one of the members of FW was dating Stella of cruiserweight for a while.
  7. Nice, thanks. Hopefully I'll be able to find time to make it up to Buford while it's playing there.
  8. Yeah, I'm really excited for this. Does anyone in Atlanta know if there is a legit IMAX that shows movies?
  9. Hell Yes, "You Say This Song Is Lame, and, I Say, So Is Your Face. You Said This Song Could Be Better, I Said, So Could Your Face." Feable Weiner may not be the best band name, but it was so fitting! That band was so much fun live. The first time I saw them they just complimented themselves after every song. Usually it was how awesome their hair was, but sometimes how awesome the song was. And they were right.
  10. Yeah, nalgene bottles are insanely sturdy. All my friends that hike/climb/etc use them. The only part of them I've ever seen break is the little ring that keeps the lid attached to the bottle while it's open. They are pretty crazy.
  11. I never really cared for Nalgene bottles. Sigg bottles are where it's at. I got one for free a few years ago when I bought some shoes, and it has served me great. Keeps my water a little colder a little longer than plastic bottles, and is way more comfortable to drink out of. Only downside is its harder to fill without making a mess. But yeah, Brita pitcher/filter + water bottle is the way to go. My brother just got a Water Bopple, i think it's called...something similar anyways. It has a replaceable filter. He loves it.
  12. I would say yes, but they are probably my favorite band. Ever. I followed them over from ATDI as well, but for some reason Sparta just grabbed me more than ATDI ever did. Give Wiretap Scars another listen, then go from there. All three albums are so good.
  13. From Sleepercar's site. I knew they never "officially" broke up, but didn't know whether or not to expect a new album. This is all the confirmation I need to get excited!
  14. That's sad, they were always really nice when I talked to them. I never really got into them until Then is the New Now came out, but I will definitely pledge for this before it's over. I would absolutely love TITNN or the self titled on vinyl.
  15. Was gonna say this. They have been up there pretty steadily for the past month or so. Just keep an eye out, you'll find one. I think anyone around here who has one wants to hang onto it, as these threads pop up pretty regularly.
  16. Uh, what?!? So excited for this. (Maybe more so than new HWM recordings? No, probably not)
  17. I never saw it, but did think it looked kind of interesting. I'll check it out.
  18. Michael Cera is awesome. Year One is the only bad movie i can think of that he's ever done. Micheal Cera is great when he is not playing this character. I know he does it well, but I'm so tired of all of his indie kid roles. The one bad movie you mentioned was also the one major role that was different. I haven't seen Youth in Revolt, maybe he did something different there. He was fantastic on AD, his guest spots on TGTTM and Tim and Eric are great, and he seems like a funny guy in real life. I just wish he would be more selective about the roles that he takes. Also, Nick and Nora was terrible, in my opinion.
  19. Have all of you watched a trailer for Scott Pilgrim? I was excited about it because I love Edgar Wright, but I think it looks pretty bad. I might think otherwise if it was someone other than Michael Cera, but my expectations are low.
  20. or both? That's what I was thinking. Or maybe they'll go back to BYO for some neutral ground...
  21. So good, I really had to try to keep from laughing loudly. Also, I'm going to start throwing this line around and see how it goes:
  22. Same here. I have never had the opportunity to see them play a headlining show. I don't listen to Millencolin too much anymore, but I would absolutely love to see this. Hope they add some US dates.
  23. With MP stuff, I'd say John Cleese. But my favorite member is probably Terry Gilliam because of his directing.
