Why didn't management just address inaccuracies instead of censoring a thread? Fuck that shit. This is a music discussion board, add to the discussion don't fucking kill it. If that is a true story it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

I scored Kane Sunday Brunch and Sea Cow this weekend. The hype on Sunday Brunch is legit. Pricey to buy but better thank aftermarket prices.

This forum is made up of useless fat ugly cringelords my man, trust me even if by some miracle they were accepting of new people/music they still would not be worth having as fans.

Unless you want to flip vinyl, or shit on new users to boost self confidence, this place isn't for you.

To conclude my story: I gave up the #1 spot, went home and slept, ordered the one 7" I wanted, played Zelda with my kid and am now going to Home Depot for wood to build fossil hunting sieves so we can go shark tooth hunting tomorrow.

    Big win.

Received the Emperor box set - it's a work of art. Possibly the greatest vinyl release of all time across any genre.  I have nothing to compare it to.

I haven't been around in a while but I got a few texts from folks here. I loved her....and the extended Daptone family. As I switch flights in tears I'll share my quick thoughts and implore you all to buy a record - Sharon always wanted to sell a million! The foundations listed are worthy places too - Lustgarten, the James brown foundation (she loved the kids at JAMP):

We get to tell stories and each holds a special place but some people change our lives. That's Sharon Jones. That's her family, The Dap-Kings, Lever & Beam, Daptone and the entire extended family that surrounded Sharon.
Sharon redefined the meaning of grace and dignity for me. She literally beat cancer from her body over and over again. Then when this bullshit disease somehow got the upper hand she toured and recorded new music and beat cancer again by not allowing it to define her. She is the best and always will be.
The night before Sharon had her microabrasion I went up to her hotel with Tony to interview her. I thought for sure she was going to be depressed about her renewed challenge. Halfway through the interview I stopped and said "Sharon, you aren't depressed at all, and I thought you'd have this huge cloud over your head. What gives?" She told us "You can live your life and accept the cancer as part of it or you can let it rule your life." It was the simplest sentiment and moment but it made me smile and understand her on a whole new level. No challenge I've faced since felt quite so big.
Sharon was a woman of God. I actually enjoyed talking about her unwavering faith. Not long ago she posted to a friends wall "God got you". I am positive that tonight Sharon, God got you.
You got this far - this photo is from Jacob. The first time Sharon watched Miss Sharon Jones. Nothing could make me happier than seeing her enjoy that film - it was a gift.

Corporate and Personal taxes are essentially at their lowest rates since 1941. Income disparity is at an all time high. The middle class is quantifiably shrinking. But yes, more tax cuts are the absolute answer. It's the conservative robot response to everything. Since 1987 the rates have been relatively in line - happy with how this period which have seen the lowest American Tax rates have treated the middle class over the last 30 years? Or were you happier in the 50s/60s when "America Was Great" and taxes were nearly double and in some tax brackets, admittedly absurd, at 90%? I actually assumed "make America Great Again" was about going back to 1955 tax rates and rebuilding the Nation's infrastructure but it's likely more about the "Good Old Days that man would be carried out on a stretcher". Can't imagine what that might mean.

It hasn't trickled down. It will never trickle down. The wealth will accumulate with the stockholders, not the stakeholders when left to the purest form of the market. That might be cool for a few people out there but with a shrinking consumer class everyone should be panicked.

And in support of growing the American Economy I plan to hit a local theater to see Michael's new movie. Might inject some cash into the world by even buying some popcorn.
