  1. While I 100% agree with your opinion, I think David Comes To Life is by far their most accessible record, particularly for someone those who aren't predisposed to liking hardcore. It's melodic and less abrasive. Hidden World I think embodies the band the best, like you said. But people love DCTL and regard is as their best work.
  2. The best way to get into Fucked Up is to listen to Two Snakes on repeat.
  3. did anyone go to the zodiac show in brooklyn last night? going to the jersey city show tonight and want to know what the set list / merch lineup is looking like.
  4. got mine in today, too. this is a thing of beauty. deathwish and sdf are a dream team of punk.
  5. art imitates life imitates art imitates life. or something. but yea, the world keeps spinning and i keep getting older.
  6. Ah don't be so hard on yourself. Saddle Creek is doing something strange with these /3-500 limits color pressings. Even a Cursive deluxe with color vinyl /1500 used to take more than a day to sell out. I missed this and Hop Along and wasn't more than a workday late to either.
  7. Can someone snag me a copy of this. Can PayPal ASAP. Bonus for a trucker hat. I haven't seen it anywhere. Irony is I'm seeing oldham tonight.
  8. He's clearly just outlining the fiscally responsible extension of THE HOBBY.
  9. I'm in yr boat. Seriously considering unloading my black SOS to make some adult plans or pay off student debt.
  10. I've never met the dude, but I imagine he curses those that refer to him as "Koz."
  11. I listened to 2 songs. So far meh. Reminds me a lot of Perils which I reallllly didn't like (despite a wholehearted attempt to). I dunno, it's like he gave up on vocal melody and went for rhythm, but it certainly isn't hip hop.
  12. Ya know, I was super bummed out when Minus The Bear put out Planet Of Ice and when Modern Life Is War put out Midnight in America and the first time I heard Float On on the radio. People change, so do their inspirations and motivations, and along with it goes their music. It's just a different direction for Mark. And yea, dude is making a hobby out of turning out as many limited releases as possible in a year. What're you gonna do?
  13. I think mama, I'm swollen was cursive's best lp since domestica. Take that for unpopular opinion. I wasn't so into the consecutive small town themes of help wanted nights / happy hollow, though both have some great tracks. Bust and bloom ftw!
  14. i agree, and back when kasher was going one-for-one with cursive / good life records, i think that was true for the good life as a whole. after happy hollows / help wanted nights, both projects found a lot of common ground in my opinion. kasher is a storyteller, and that comes through in all of his projects. i have high hopes for this record after some lackluster tim kasher (solo) releases.
  15. GUHHHHHH i am bummed i missed the deluxe. i didn't get a minute to check anything today and totally missed the announcement. had no idea this was even coming. dang. this song is awesome, too. guitars are definitely reminiscent of earlier cursive. kinda reminds me of the b-sides to i am gemini. awesome direction for the good life. excited to hear the rest of the record.
