  1. Haha. Good times. It was... there was a dude who'd drive down early... pay 10-25 homeless dudes to stand in line with the 10 bucks a piece plus some cash for themselves when the record was delivered while he parked in the art store parking lot across the street and slept in his escalade. The day Jack got sick of it was the day TMR ebayed WS split copies, and jacked the copies up to $50 instore day of sale.
  2. Only TMR in Nashville is gonna have'em... None for Grimey's, The Groove, or the Great Escape... One per customer/family. (Folks used to drag kids along to ensure 4-5 copies for themselves, folks also have hired homeless people in the past)
  3. i hope that's true, but i assume some stores got more than others. stores with multiple locations vs. stores with single locations in small citites. From what I've heard with the multi-stores... only one location is getting them.
  4. Yeah... better yet folks that DROVE hundreds of miles to sit on said TMR stoop...
  5. Nashvilles gettin 100... and as quoted from the vault "Do the black math... thats 30 copies a store"...
  6. Yeah... mail doesn't typically get delivered sans name.
  7. Folks are already lining up in Nashville...
  8. Is it just me or are all the folks who "got" their records accounts made in July/August of 2011? Granted I didn't send the guy any money, so I've got no horse in this race, but something I've noticed...
  9. ?? Can you explain a little more? I kept yelling WHY and WHAT to his rhetorical jokes... he finally went off and called me a son of a bitch and to get the hell out cause I was ruining the tape for everyone else.... after his next joke called me Pigboy and a garbageman... then towards then end of the set says I won't buy the record, I'd rather spend the $20 on wax for my stupid asshole goatee! I've honestly never laughed harder than that night.
  10. Just got my B&B from the Neil Hamburger show... All the rips on me are there on the recording... Most favorite one being the pigboy/garbage man rant he lays on me! Hahaha!
  11. Hobby Lobby has pre-cut frame parts may be a better bet than a 'custom' frame, and they mount, mat, and assemble it instore while ya wait... At about half the cost of ordering a custom size frame.
  12. No, they were never going to press records in the back of the RRS... they record their shows (and the one performance from the RRS) direct to tape, then cut the records at URP from the tape. The RRS is solely for cross country fests allowing folks a chance at TMR goodies that are specific to the shop, ie t shirts, slip mats, shot glasses. They also typically have some black and blues for a 100 a pop and occassionally have a copy or two of Get behind me satan for like 300. (kinda like tri colors going to the artist's home town record store)... And it acts as a portable pop up store rather than renting space or erecting tents.
  13. I've got all the vault packages since 4, black and blues of Dex Romweber (signed), Nobunny, Pujol, Conan O'Brien, Tyvek, Jenny & Johnny, Racon2ers, Reggie Watts, (coming Neil Hamburger and Human Eye), Karen Elson- on Peach, Ghost Who Walks 45 (signed) Truth is in the dirt tricolor, flower, Full sxsw set of 13"/8", Multiple posters (including conan), lots of the for one show only buttons, full racs set (all the singles plus Live in London & the new Live at TMR), The Muldoons (Red vinyl, was a release between them and Cass), the set list from the Alabama Shakes set, and a fair amount of other random stuff. Still not home, but thats off the top of my head edit: Sea of Cowards split color, Jon Wayne split color, 5678s Black and blue (Traded off Cold War Kids (attendee copy), and the B&Bs of the Next big nashville weekend (Jeff the Brotherhood and the Jacuuzi Boys)), Raconteurs -BBS (Copper)
  14. they usually press several black & blues at the same time. just switching out the stampers isn't a big deal. they'll do 200 for third man if they want them. Sure they will, but why would TMR say "nah, we don't wanna sell 110+ for a $100 each, we're good on that, thanks."
  15. they usually press several black & blues at the same time. just switching out the stampers isn't a big deal. they'll do 200 for third man if they want them. They will, but every B&B is of 300 (hence 3rd Man Records, lots of 3s with them, or divisible by 3) save for the 3 vault releases (dead weather, wanda jackson, raconteurs) to date... And not necessarily only a handful of the black and blues have been released together, most are released solo... and all of 300. They did 300 for the Cold War Kids and maybe 85 folks were at that show due to weather, so the rest were sold at SXSW last year.
  16. Ahh now I understand, I've only ever seen one on ebay and it went for around a hundo, the search continues Yeah, typical price they go for... tickets for the TMR Live run about 20-25 these days, plus 20 in store for a preorder for the B&Bs... Used to have a 300 person limit for live shows, dropped by the fire marshall to 190. The record press they use is URP which has a minimum 300 order for half/halfs... so expect every live show from now on out to be in the RRS for 100+....
  17. One time pressing on LP. 389 on Color Vinyl. No Longer Available. 703 on Black Vinyl. Available while supplies last.
  18. No such thing... There was a Black & Blue which is a live@TMR... not the same as the vault releases which are subscription only, B&Bs are attendee only (save for small shows, the extras there get sold on the Rolling Record Store for $100 a pop).
  19. Ditto... shoot'em an email about it, looks like the earliest copies had the issue as the folks just now getting it aren't having that issue.
  20. Nothing shipped yesterday as it was a national holiday. They just printed the labels, shipping should have began today.
  21. TattooMike is a damn fine person to deal with! Shipped in a timely manner, packaged oh so professionally, AND refunded me on a missing item before the package left his hands!
  22. I'd really like to see any of these hit the wax format...
  23. Wow, that was on vinyl.. I still remembering getting the CD. It's still at my parents house. My Dad loved it so much I had the cassette back in the day, long since lost it. Found a plain sleeve single of Deep Deep Trouble a week later for a dollar.
