Are you sure your Sunny Day LP2 is pink and white splatter? I've never heard of that variant existing.

 

it's techinically "pink" according to sub pop, but it does indeed have traces of white.

bumping this because i just saw them 3 times since saturday.

 

twice in chicago, and again last night in saint louis.

 

it was chris' birthday, and we all had cake.

 

i got a signed set list and a tour shirt.

 

they were out of endserenading records, they had some in chicago but i was broke at the time because of riotfest.

Probably just needs a good cleaning. Haze vinyl always leaves a lot of extra junk on the record that needs cleaning off.

 

yeah i've noticed after a few brushings and a few play thrus it's pretty much stopped.

 

it did feel a little 'sandy' when i took it out of the sleeve the first time, and theres still some sandy stuffs inside the jacket.

so i picked this up at the mineral show in st.louis tonight.

 

it's grey with red splatters.

 

i put it on when i got home, and my needle makes this horrible grinding sound between the grooves.

 

you can even hear it while the music is playing.

 

does anyone else own this album, and experience this same problem?

cool set. i don't love them enough to pay that price, but i wouldn't mind having that set.

 

i really enjoy deep shadows, and razorblade romance.

just got home today.

 

everything was amazing except for the mud, and the sole getting ripped off the bottom of one of my chucks on the first day.

 

i spent the next two days with it tied onto my foot with the shoelaces.

 

seeing mineral twice in two days was a dream come true.

 

i talked to chris from mineral a little at the double door show, and he said there's a good chance of a gloria record reunion, as well as finally issuing an album they recorded but never released.

I know I used to talk shit about them, but you should seriously check out a bit of the National. I saw them earlier this year and it completely changed my mind about them. One of the best live shows I've ever seen. I'll be walking over to double door directly after if you want to meet up. 

 

how far is double door from the park? i didn't know it was in walking distance. then again, i don't really know anything about chicago.

i'll be at the chicago fest this weekend, also got my tickets for the mineral double door show this morning.

I am pretty stoked that Mineral added a club show with Christie Front Drive in Denver as a post riotfest show

 

i am too, but i plan on going to the chicago show.

 

mineral and CFD at the same venue would be amazing.

don't wanna sell it, but i don't want to miss seeing failure and mineral either.

I love Futures, I just don't care too much for Night Drive.

 

funny, thats one of the few songs on futures that i actually like.

 

it's their worst album in my opinion, i only ordered it because it's their only one i don't already have and i can't justify paying $200+ for an album i don't really care that much for.

still twice as much as everything before MCIS. i own the first 3 boxes, and im really disappointed the other reissues weren't a similar price.

i still haven't bought the MCIS box because of its price, even tho i want it, but i didn't mind paying what i did to finally have TAFH on vinyl.
