  1. Asbestos Records also has a TP sale, incl Rival Schools, Quicksand and many more: https://asbestosrecords.bigcartel.com/product/super-rare-test-pressing-sale
  2. The pricing on the Daze test pressings is very aggressive, compared to what other labels like Relapse or Tankcrimes charge for TPs from much more established bands. I picked up the Adrienne because I love that band but honestly I feel kinda stupid for paying that much. Best of luck to Daze with this sale though.
  3. Yeah that whole show on Saturday was off the hook. I actually met one guy who flew in from Belgium for the show and back home the next day. Worth it. When I last saw them with Yob they played almost only stuff from HP, which was totally cool, but it was nice to also hear some UYHS staples again. And they played Big Riff, right, or am I just imagining that?
  4. Bands have two options: Either give the venue a big cut of their merch sales (resulting in these prices) and risk alienating fans or make a statement out of resisting merch cuts and only sell merch online and risk losing a big chunk of sales. Both shitty options. Fuck corporate venues that try to squeeze every last penny out of their audience. I really hate it. Fortunately most shows of interest to me in NYC are in regular old lovable shitholes lol.
  5. Looks like a really well-designed box set. Already have a few of the records, but very tempting nonetheless.
  6. Merch at the NYC shows was expensive (at least compared to what I'm used to seeing at small venues). I'm guessing the venue took a cut, those fuckers. Shirts were $45, posters $40, not sure about vinyl. Going to Jersey as well on Saturday, can't wait!

  11. Regular variants looking good, too. Potential AOTY. https://www.20buckspin.com/collections/front/products/vastum-inward-to-gethsemane-lp
  12. Haha music is a physical object, that is exactly why this forum exists, and it is in some ways very similar to collecting, say, fine art prints or collectible toys. Anyway, if you want a meaningful answer don't poll a small sample of randos on a forum. Look at Discogs instead to see how much people are actually paying for music (which in some instances can be in the thousands of dollars).
  13. Two guest vocalists ... maybe an EP to raise funds with all guest vocalists? Good for them for staying active while Madi recovers. EDIT: Preorder live from Pure Noise. https://purenoise.merchnow.com/collections/year-of-the-knife Apparently recorded pre-accident with Madi.
  14. Is the length dictated by the format of the program? I also wish it had one or two more songs, but picked this up without hesitation.
  15. New Sulphur Aeon preorder from Van. FFO Nile. https://van-records.com/Sulphur-Aeon-Seven-Crowns-and-Seven-Seals-gtf-12-LP-howling-void_1

  18. Pain of Truth release variant with alt cover /99. Only a few left. https://dazestyle.bandcamp.com/album/not-through-blood
  19. I just realized there's a new Blood Incantation EP up for preorder. One new actual song; it better be a good one. Looks like four variants are available: 2000 clear via Century Media 1200 silver ("band color") via Evil Greed ? gold via Nuclear Blast Europe retail black
  20. I checked this out because I generally dig the labels involved, but the clean vocals in the chorus absolutely killed any interest I had lol. It's very curious how, amid the current wave of metalcore revival bands, you can see the same sort of musical evolution play out as in the late 90s/ early 2000s. There's some excellent metallic hardcore bands like Hands of God or Moral Law. There's tripped down, head-bobbing metalcore from Adrienne, one of my absolute favorite right now. There's also really fun melodic metalcore , like Memento. or Balmora, just raw and hardcore enough to avoid falling into the trap of becoming one of 10,000 technically much more proficient melodic death metal bands. And then bands like A Mourning Star and now Cauldron are infusing their music with generic, sugary sensitive-boy choruses, which to me is honestly just super disappointing.
  21. 4 Walls Falling - Culture Shock reissue now available from Vinyl Conflict. Great record. https://vinylconflict.storenvy.com/products/36589831-four-walls-falling-culture-shock-lp-vc-033 100 Red Vinyl (exclusively found with RevHQ) 200 White Vinyl 200 Blue Vinyl 500 Black Vinyl

  23. Yeah I was surprised that there was no insert, that's a bit of a bummer.
