This is my first foray into the “audiophile” realm and I would like to hear some distinct differences to digital not just the rhetoric from some music sommelier about high highs and deep basses or what ever… Turntable - My choices for a turntable were between the Rega Planar 2 and the Pro-Ject Evo. My choice was the Evo due to the slim separation in performance (Planar 2 was only slightly better) that I was reading about, styling (Evo offers colors!), and budgeting (Evo is almost $100 cheaper). Pre-Amp - This was between the Rega Fono Mini and the Pro-Ject Phono Box it’s pretty much based on reviews that I have read from multiple websites about the “best” pre amp. Seems like the Rega shows up more and higher on that list than the Pro-Ject. I have done the research and read reviews and all signs pointed to the Rega as the best bang for the buck in that $200 range. I’m open to suggestions and opinions as with the rest of this venture I lack experience. The speakers - This is the area I’m least married. Originally I was looking for a pair of speakers in the $300-$400 range and selected the A5+ and switched to the “wireless” version eventually reasoning that; 1. They are a newer design and offered upgraded tech vs. the original A5+. 2. The wireless feature gives me some flexibility to stream for other devices than just the turntable. I know the “wireless” are $499, $100 more than I was originally budgeted but they gave that additional functionality. If you have suggestions in this area for speakers in the $300-$400 I’ll definitely give it some thought. So overall I’m budgeting about $1000 for the setup. I do have a little flex but not looking to go crazy over. Again thanks for the help!

Yes! That's what I'm talking about! and want! and trying for! Simplistic and clean sounds. The speakers have a remote that can adjust volume.

Thanks! Great feedback! Budget does play in here more than space. My total budget is roughly $1000. I’m pretty solid on the turntable. I’m open to suggestions on the pre-amp and especially the speakers. So if there’s another option for speakers that will fit into the budget I’m down!

Weird…. I got the box and White Shadow, but not Superbloom. As a caveat I not only ordered the “monthly subscription” but I also placed a separate order for Superbloom when that was released. Well at least Superbloom is shipping.

Ummmm..... Just checked the tracking number.. Says I should receive my items on 04/19/21. I type this with temperance as I still doubt it will be here and the likelihood is that I will receive the wooden box and the White Shadow 7". I'll still be holding my breath until it actually arrives and probably be well passed out before I get it.

Ya no doubt they just created the label... And this is The Bronx we are talking about... Getting something ON TIME is about as rare as winning the lottery let alone something coming early. After weeks of no return communication, here is the the latest update we got from the pressing plant… “Unfortunately due to the rise in Covid cases throughout Europe the manufacturer had to shut-down production for 3-4 weeks which is why communication has been limited. The additional shutdown has inevitably pushed all of our vinyl releases back. With vinyl manufacturing at an all-time high across the board, the new completion date to ship from the warehouse is May 10th.” Obviously this sucks, and although we are finally starting to see light at the end of the global pandemic tunnel, most production companies are still completely fucked. But this record means alot to us! It’s the first time both The Bronx and Mariachi el Bronx have ever played as one band! And even tho production has been a total nightmare, the vinyl is gonna be so fucking sick! I HATE THE BRONX!!!! I missed on the TP but this dingbat sold a kidney and picked up all the exclusives (Banquet and Revolver), The US, EU, and AU store exclusives, as well as the retail version. I also got the 7" boxed set. I HATE THE BRONX!!!! PS. Still waiting on that Halloween release...

Noper haven't received my copy yet... I have noticed that ordering directly from the band usually takes a VERY long time. Longer that we are used to when ordering from retail sites. I just ordered both colors of New Joy from the site. I'm guessing that they repressed them? Snagged the pair just incase even though I already have them both.
