    PO Soon: Restorations - LP5000

Unfortunately, three months is pretty much the standard preorder wait, these days. I can only think of one label who actually sells when they have the record on hand. Most other labels seem to have a 2-4 month lead time. It sucks, but I've just given up being annoyed by it.
  2. I haven't even had a chance to listen to the track, but I just bought it because AGALLOCH. Been waiting for a long time. http://us.prophecy.de/oxid-oxid-1/oxid-oxid/pro-227.html EDIT: Listening now. I like it on first listen. Definitely not Agalloch, though.
  3. I'm surprised that some people, whom I assume are Agalloch fans, weren't that into Pillorian. I just can't get into Giant Squid. I ended up getting a refund for this record. I know I'm not really going to listen to it.
  4. Heard another song off the album today and I just have to admit that I'm not all that into what I'm hearing so far. I like Pillorian a thousand times better than this.
  5. Looks like they set some standalone Australian records free from the bundles. Cuz bundles suck.
  6. Australian variant cover now sold out, unless you want to buy the bundle.

    PO Now Bongripper Terminal

That was easy and I didn't get screwed on shipping, which seems to be the new thing. Clear with green for me.

Ripper up in about half an hour. Terminal 2000, 500 of each color. SWD edition of 500, 250 of each.
  9. Well that sucks. Lots of people are going to be waking up to seeing all sold out. I guess people in other time zones got lucky. Only reason I'm up is that Bongripper is going on sale. At least I got the black.
  10. FYI, I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but with my /100 I'm getting an intermittent whoosh noise during the beginning of side A and B. Only used my brush and hope it clears up when I wet clean it. It's fairly annoying as it is.
  11. Since there is now a cool jazz thread I figured I would start a thread for those who appreciate classic soul, funk and blues. I don't have much blues, but here are some of the soul and funk records I cherish. Sam Cooke, one of my all time favorite singers Graham Central Station- Larry Graham from Sly and the Family Stone started this funky ass band. Any Red Hot Chili Peppers fans need to kneel at the alter of Larry Graham for his slap bass pioneering. James Brown's backing band and super fonky. The Meters!!! Found this for 5 bucks at a record swap and pooped my pants. Rufus Thomas on the STAX VOLT label. If you don't shake your ass while listening to "Funkiest Man Alive" you probably have no ass. Anyone else have soul, funk, or blues favorites?

Full stream available for the new Abstracter album. Even more brutal than the last one. I get to see them Saturday with Mortuous and Petrification. The brutality will be unbearable! https://abstracter.bandcamp.com/album/cinereous-incarnate

    MOL - JORD

This record is still in heavy rotation in my ocean of vinyl. For me, Jord is the pinnacle of the blackgaze genre.

    MOL - JORD

This band was brought to our attention by helsabot in the Black Metal thread. People have compared them to Deafheaven and I guess I hear that. Maybe Deafheaven mixed with a little Amon Amarth? Who cares, it's just good stuff and you can probably still get the first pressing from DW. Holy Roar for EU. Second pressing is that mixed grab bag that No Idea would always do, so count on grey purple or grey. https://moeldk.bandcamp.com/album/jord-2

    PO: Prince - Piano & A Microphone (1983)

I guess we can expect more unreleased stuff to come out as the family sees the $$$$$. Looking forward to it.

All That Is Heavy has the new YOB record for $31.99. On the Relapse site you can get it for $21.99. Ten bucks more on ATIH! What is the thinking behind that pricing?

Man, so sorry you're having to deal with all of this bullshit. I'm fine waiting. I was just wondering what was happening. What about just going through Pirate's Press? Either way, no need to stress or lose sleep. It's only a damn record. I do know what you're going through when everything seems to go wrong and you just stress the hell out and think about never ever doing it again. It's all a learning process. Everything will work out one way or another.
  18. Looks like the deluxe version might be available again on the Panopticon Bigcartel site...

    Extreme Metal Releases and Pre-orders

Another way to blow some cash, especially on the ridiculous $12 US shipping price. Only 12 left. I guess this is the US tour version, which I don't remember seeing at the show. Wasn't there another tour version for Europe? I think I have it, but I'm getting all of this confused. Either way, this one was one of my tops for last year. https://pillorian.bandcamp.com/album/obsidian-arc

    Extreme Metal Releases and Pre-orders

Tomb Mold is already getting a lot of great reviews for their new lp. This one collects the two demos. Surprised the /100 versions are still available. Went with purple. http://shop.bloodharvest.se/?product=tomb-mold-the-bottomless-perdition-the-moulting-12lp-blood-harvest-preorder Available on Black Vinyl (300), Purple Vinyl (100) or Ultra Clear Vinyl (100). Select below! BLOOD HARVEST RECORDS is proud to present TOMB MOLD's The Bottomless Perdition / The Moulting on CD and vinyl LP formats. This collection comprises the Canadian death metallers' first two (and long sold-out) demos on one convenient format. Originally released in 2016, even early on, TOMB MOLD displayed a shockingly mature sound, which would come to its full fruition on their subsequent (and massively critically acclaimed) debut album, Primordial Malignity. Here, between these two demos, the duo wrote their self-confessed “love letter” to '90s Finnish death metal: cavernous, slimy, and serpentine, this is TOMB MOLD in their rawest form. And yet, despite these being first-step demos, both The Bottomless Perdition and The Moulting trounce most other death metal records hailing under the banner of “old school” – which, come Primordial Malignity, would soundly result in the New School. Hear where the (justified) hype began, now in one place!

Bought it and then listened to it. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Missed out on some first pressings recently on 20buck and this band is from my town, so it was a "no-listener". Now, that I have listened, I am stoked.

Supposedly, the new Bongripper record will go up for presale on June 15th. No Vinyl Bong edition, so I don't know what variants they will have. Still waiting for official word.
