Listened to some of the others once or none yet though. Don't think I have spun the Mogwai, most of the Mono, and one of the two DMST that I picked up. Need to spend time with Caspian, BoS, Mogwai, GFE, etc.
CASPIAN! Yes, they are in my top three post rock bands, along with Explosions In The Sky and If These Trees Could Talk.
Other bands come close, but these three are top of the game with great dynamics and musicianship, in my opinion.

FINALLY got mine. I was getting worried. I am glad I waited for the repress.
DAMN does this sound beautiful on vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Joey Ramone 45 for RSD. Finally something I can be excited about.
-
This line up of player sounds cool-
The cast of players includes Joan Jett, and Little Steven Van Zandt, who plays guitar on "Party Line" and wrote the album's poignant liner notes, along with such notables as former Ramones drummer Richie Ramone, Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick, Dennis Diken of the Smithereens, Richie Stotts, Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye, punk survivor Holly Beth Vincent, members of the Ramones' punk-era contemporaries The Dictators, and producers Jean Beauvoir and Joe Blaney.

Looks like they're dredging the vaults. I'm excited, but I hope this is good.
There is a preorder at Interpunk and probably more to follow. They will have
a 7" for RSD too.

Never heard of this band. Thanks! I just ordered the purple white from IVWT.
I also wrote to the band via their merch page and they just wrote back saying that they have some as well.

The cool thing about this 10 incher is that I will not have to flip the record over just as I sit down.
-
Did anyone here actually go to the record release?

If you see a dead seal on the beach make sure pick up some driftwood and smack it's stomach like a pinata, there could be a valuable flexi in there!

Bump for those looking for the thread...initial color breakdown per NI on OP.
And merged the posts from the second thread.
Thanks for merging them. I spent 5 minutes trying to find the original!
I believe there were 4 original colors. One of them is a Shirtkiller exclusive?
I think there are about 4 basic variations in this new varied box with different shades of each type.

I buy lotto tickets every now and then. I bought $5 worth for this one. I just see it as
a fun chance to dream about what if. My wife and I drink beers and talk about what
we would do with the money. My plans usually involve records and a climate controlled
record room vault.

I couldn't find the original thread for the Black God II 45, so I just started a new one. Just wanted to give a heads up that a box of the new 7's were damaged in transit to No Idea and the pressing plant replaced them with a box of varied colors. I think I got the story right?
I don't know if this makes the original colors more limited, but these mixed bunch are probably scarce in their different colors.
Variant freaks may want to hit up No Idea.

I never even realized that Pirate's Press was just across the bay from me. I could have just picked up my records there.
Thanks for the update!

Sorry, knowing they will repress it, it wouldn't be worth the blue copy. Good luck dude, you shouldn't have any issues parting with it. I'll put in an offer of exactly what lexicondevil sent me for the green copy and see if that works, lol. Probably actually too low, but let me know Trying to help some brothas out!
Ha i understand...i dont care too much about getting more than i paid for it ($20)...so if i can trade for a first press of Above the Earth, that evens out for me...im too impatient to wait for the repress anyways lol
If I come across another copy of Above the Earth, I will let you know.

Wooo. I already have tickets to American Steel, will probably go to Mean Jeans and Ceremony too.
Never heard of "The White Horse"
I believe that the White Horse is a superduper HAPPY bar.
Maybe a rabbit will be there because I see no bunny in all of these line-ups?

The day is drawing near. Has anyone got a shipping confirmation?

Still need a hook up on the Aeges Record Release version. If you're not doing anything tomorrow and you live in LA, why not make me and the two guys above me really happy and grab us copies of this record?
I will pay you extra for your troubles or will also do trades. You will also earn real karma from me, meaning that I go to a lot of shows in the bay area and will return the favor. PM me!!!

My blue and my test just magically showed up today from Asian Man. I was also mistaken about the tests. There were 10 made. Asian Man only had 4 available.
This is a great ep, I find it difficult to call this an album. As an album it is way too short. As an ep it is awesome.

I hope it's with Defeater. I am not a big PBTT fan. Over all that I would rather it was just a whole 7" with only TA.
I wonder why this thread got moved to "everything else"? It talks about a potential new release by a band a lot of people are into.
-
Oh and still nothing from Asian Man. Interpunk version on the way.

I just took a look at the site again and it isn't even going to be ready for about 3 months. That is a long ass time to forget about a record.
It looks like it's only a month or so away. May 7, 2012. You may be confused because of the euro way of date abbreviation - day/month/year. If it was a US listing, it wouldn't ship until July 5, 2012 - month/day/year.
Ahhh. Sometimes it is good to find out that you were confused.
Thanks

I bought one of those Euro 10"s with the silk screened B-side. Couldn't help myself.

Here is a link to a live video of the new song.
Supposedly the record is going to come out in late 2012...

Wow, that is crazy unfunny if it is true.
