  1. Ween is the best rabbit hole in my opinion. Soooooo much music and they're incredible live. I just wish they'd write some new stuff.
  2. Saw Macho Man’s and a Horse the Band (before I saw people were seeking it). Horse the Band was 30.99 at Nice Price Books in Raleigh.
  3. I assume that was Schoolkids? We went to Nice Price and the Record Krate so we could do Schoolkids last and eat at Cloos’ but the line is still around the front to the side of the building. Wack indeed! How were time slots even selected?!
  4. I struck out. If anyone can nab a Verve Pipe or Butcher Brown/Bruce Hornsby it would be appreciated!
  5. Oof… we’re going to get douched with rain around 10 so we were optimistic our son’s tee ball would be canceled, but it’s on so I’m not going out until 11 at the earliest. Only things I want are Butcher Brown and The Verve Pipe… wish me luck!
  6. Love Mingus, love jazz, but have stopped buying sets like this because of how infrequently I'm spinning and it's generally more to support up and comers. That said, it's rad that they continue to put out amazing content like this.
  7. Welcome to the community! Looking forward to your contribution to the lively discussions.
  8. I dig all options, but (and maybe this is just me being a newb) on Reddit you can't see what you have and have not seen with the "mark as read" function. At least in Discord you can click the channel to mark it as read. I'll follow the future, but something similar to what we have minus the spam and outages is my preference... not sure that's a possibility though.
  9. Got a trade list? I've got that Daytrotter 12" and may move it. I do like TBT, but admittedly haven't listened to it in years.
  10. Do yourself a favor and check Discogs before buying/swapping/selecting from VMP's site, though on anything that's not brand new. I almost opted for Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca one month in a swap, but while that would eat up $43 in credits/value it's about $25 shipped in new condition on Discogs. Like all records some appreciate in value and others folks try, don't like, and sell. Just my two cents when it comes to selecting anything.
  11. At least if you don't like your record of the month you can swap it out OR swap for store credits. I'm in my second consecutive full year subscription, but not sure I'll be back. I was a member at the very beginning and it was way less expensive, but the quality wasn't as high as it is now. My biggest beef is that very often the "essentials" or "classics" records I already have OG pressings of. Their retail and member pricing is really high IMO.
  12. I saw pics of people with these in hand already too! Assuming they're not with Ipecac or a distributor that may mean Ipecac is actually announcing these AFTER they're manufactured... which is frankly an amazing return to sanity.
  13. Jawbox - Novelty (deluxe) on orange Bandcamp link Dischord.com link
  14. William Schaff was commissioned to do the art and as usual it does not disappoint. He shared some pics on his Facebook today and it looks sweet.
  15. I just clicked the link and it looks like there is a single copy available right now from username jessfranco2. It ain't cheap at about $160 out of the UK, but it is available. I was lucky enough to stumble across some Analord EP's pretty cheap at Flat Black and Circular on a trip back to East Lansing one time so there is always hope to find one in the wild I suppose. My occasion was like a decade ago though and shit just gets harder and harder to find.
  16. I brought a dozen titles to the counter at my local BB (Cary, NC outside of Raleigh) and none of them were on sale. I was either looking at ineligible titles OR the sale is done.
  17. May already be used, but have at it King Buffalo - Regenerator http://bandcamp.com/yum hgrf-e6kq
  18. I struggled at first, but once I figured out a method that worked for me it seems easy at this point. Not sure an explanation is easy to follow, but I put the ring on the outside of the platter furthest from the speed adapter and then keeping it taut wind it around the side toward the back to the speed adapter and then move my other hand with it slightly loosely on the ring pulling it around to the front and toward the speed adapter and I'm good to go. I do leave mine off of the turntable when it's not in use so that it doesn't get overstretched. They have a new model with a speed selection knob I believe.
  19. I've had the Kickstarter funded top model (not certain on specs at this point in time since it's been about ten years) and it has always treated me well. I had a few technical issues early on, but they were super responsive via email and trouble shot me through them eventually sending backup parts that were improved after their initial design. Hit them up if you have issues, but hopefully they're well past that. Welcome to the community!
  20. Got my face melted by Tropical Fuck Storm last night
