  1. Very stoked to have snagged myself a copy and to know there's more classic Mello stuff that's going to get pressed! Historically speaking, and for recommendation's sake, Diamond District's debut In The Ruff is tremendous, but I doubt it'll be included here as it had vinyl on its initial run. Edit: here's a criminally slept on older Mello release you can get on the cheap still. I'd also recommend Kenn Starr's Square One LP. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/3440707?ev=rb
  2. Stoked for this without even watching the video yet. Last album was really good, especially "God Deluxe". Talk about a ripper. You almost have to listen to it twice every time because it's too short.
  3. I loathed Threes (I swear Jim sounds more like Neil Diamond than himself on that record) but adore the first two LPs. Going to try to make the Ann Arbor show.
  4. J57 is hit or miss for me, but Ras is always on point so I'll definitely be checking it out. Thanks for the heads up/reminder to do so and hopefully like it enough to preorder.
  5. I read the thread title too quickly and thought the album title was "Eat The Elephant Out". That's all. Proceed.
  6. Bummer. Mine was fine. Go figure. Finally spun it the other night. Man, is it nice to finally hear "Still" properly.
  7. I was also surprised and almost piped up about the shipping but then remembered what you said about breaking even on the records. I reassured myself you had to buy mailers and recoup that too, so knowing you're insuring them makes it that much easier to swallow. Thanks for the transparency.
  8. Bought! I already own 2 other versions (OG and bootleg clear with all the songs), but this is easily in my top 20 hip-hop albums if not top 10. It's my favorite Boot Camp album for sure.
  9. I kind of can't believe that you actually did this, but I'm so glad you did. I will definitely plan on snagging a copy.
  10. How much did how you pay for shipping? I had two options...DHL @ 26 euro and whatever else I chose @4.95 euro. Seemed impossibly low, so I was expecting a "you owe us more money" email or something, but have not gotten one yet.
  11. Thanks for the bump & heads up! I wanted this album but did not want to give my money to Chris Hansen. I'm very happy to get the gorgeous artwork too.
  12. Best of luck to you. I finally got mine about a week ago. They finally emailed me back, blaming it on USPS when they had clearly never sent it out.
  13. Yup. Motherfucker. That would also explain two emails with no response. I mostly just want to listen to the god damn record! edit: Whoops, should've read the whole thread. Either way Smartpunk still sucks big time right now.
  14. Thirded! Those songs are perfect. Filled the hole left when gates went soft.
  15. Anybody else who pre-ordered still waiting on shipping notice from SmartPunk? I was hoping maybe it'd just show up but no luck so far.
  16. I'm pretty sure they first announced it as a Clan ALBUM rather than this compilation that we got. I gather it's along the lines of Legendary Weapons. That was pretty good so I'm hopeful for this. That last Clan album was so far beyond bad it's sickening.
  17. Since I already missed the peach and haven't listened to the song out of fear, I might as well wait to hear the whole thing to order. No use for that shirt. Preorder bundle shirts are seemingly NEVER the coolest of the bunch. Also, B-Do, can't believe you underestimated their popularity these days, my man. Sure, many of those represses are still available, but hasn't SRC done at least 4 pressings of each? Maybe more? And they have a new one coming for MC. Gotta be a cash cow.
  18. I went with the black, mostly because I didn't realize there was an orange at first. I've been waiting forever for this to get the double LP treatment. It's my absolute favorite album from when I was a young kid. One of the worst days of my youth was when my first copy of the cassette was savagely eaten by my boombox. I scored a used OG press at Empire Recordings in Ann Arbor for $10 or $12 a few years ago I want to say. The comment about late 80s rarity is true. I waited years for Skid Row's first 2 to show up on Discogs in the US for a decent price but ended up finally caving and paying overseas shipping for VG copies. I'm still waiting for Warrant's first one. On the other hand, Poison's first two seem relatively ubiquitous, even the terribly controversial long tongue cover for Open Up... I almost paid $60 or $70 on Discogs a week or two ago for the Euro repress of this from 2009 I believe. So glad I held out hope they'd do it up for this anniversary.
  19. As much as I like the original, I think this redo is superior. Very happy with my purchase.
