  1. Across "The Far Field"’s twelve chest-pounding love songs and odes to the road, Future Islands brilliantly express the band’s central themes they’ve been exploring for the last decade: that there is power in emotional vulnerability, that one can find a way to laugh and cry in the same breath – and be stronger for it. 2. Didn't see this posted yet (sorry if it has) But Rough Trade UK have an exclusive for this "Rough Trade Exclusive Purple Vinyl Version housed in a Gatefold Sleeve with Download and Bonus CD. Limited to 1000 Copies." https://www.roughtrade.com/music/this-old-dog
  3. I think the biggest disappointment of this release is the inclusion of the butchered version of Frontier Psychiatrist. Will be very interesting if there is a vinyl version of the deluxe set they have been talking about for a while, maybe then they will get it right.
  4. First listen I was a little bit hesitant about the direction of it all, but just finished my second listen and it somehow it all clicked. Really fantastic album. Also find that this record is mastered extremely well, the bass is so powerful but so clear. I got a free A2 mirror poster with my copy too, so excited to get that all framed up as well.
  5. yeah those two songs aren't actually on the physical CD, just printed in the magazine. The only difference between the releases is that Nikes has a Kohh verse.
  6. They have repressed it. You can tell the new pressing apart from the first because it is now in a normal sized sleeve instead of the original 13" x 13" sleeve. https://www.discogs.com/Nick-Cave-The-Bad-Seeds-Skeleton-Tree/release/9299504
  7. Really loving the new track. Indie exclusive on clear + CD - limited to 3000 available https://www.roughtrade.com/music/i-see-you
  8. Doesn't the MOV version get released early November?
  9. Anybody know of any other stores stocking this online? Bongload do not ship anywhere outside of UK/EU/USA which is pretty frustrating as I am so keen for this release.
  10. Got my THIRD copy today and this one finally sounds alright, none of the crackling over powers the songs anymore which is nice.
  11. I have been through two copies already, cant decide if I try for a third copy or just get a refund. First copy had an insane amount of non-fill, covering around 75% of the A side (so constant audible pops and cracks throughout every song). Exchanged it for another copy, a few scuffs and dirt on this copy, but insane distortion and crackle on the last tracks on both sides.
  12. Picked up the LP from my local store and it has one of the worst cases of non-fill on a record I have ever seen. It covers around 75% of the record so there isn't a single track that doesn't have constant crackles, pops or some kind of distortion. Hoping the store can do an exchange.
  13. Man, that was a really powerful film. Really loved all the songs that played throughout the movie as well, very keen to pick up the LP today. I am forever in awe of Nick, cannot think of another artist who has had such a prolific and consistent career.
  14. I don't believe this has been posted yet? http://pitchfork.com/news/68081-stranger-things-soundtrack-vinyl-release-announced/ "A vinyl release has been announced for the soundtrack’s first volume. It’s available on October 28 in the U.S. via Lakeshore Records and in the UK via Invada. The double LP comes in a gatefold sleeve that includes a printed insert featuring album credits and additional art. Colour variant pressings will be available. Details on the vinyl release of the soundtrack’s second volume, as well as a 4xLP limited edition box set from Invada featuring both volumes of the soundtrack, will be announced “soon.”"
  15. I'm going to wait until I see the movie, will be worth the wait I think.
  16. Been patiently waiting for this, looks pretty great tbh. I wonder if there will be any pre order bonus like the Five Years 'Pin Ups Radio Show' 10"
  17. From what I can tell modular actual had some pretty significant changes, like the really awkward Frontier Psychiatrist redubs. Which (at least the most recent) XL pressing had the regular version.
  18. I know this is a silly question, but If I cancel my crate subscription before something I bought ships from the store, its all good right? I just noticed that I am due to be charged for another subscription before avalanches ships.
  19. Its only a rumour so take it with a grain of salt, but..... Would love a proper pressing of Sam's Town, 2xLP, Gatefold etc
  20. I don't think Rough Trade send out confirmation emails, you can check on your account when your "order is complete" though
  21. Pretty excited for this release but was pretty bummed on the shipping price of the 'Domino Mart Exclusive' However... I saw the deluxe release (just no poster) is available at Rough Trade UK http://www.roughtrade.com/albums/104594
  22. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ sixteenth studio album, Skeleton Tree, will be released globally on vinyl, CD and across all digital platforms on 9th September 2016. Skeleton Tree began its journey in late 2014 at Retreat Studios, Brighton, with further sessions at La Frette Studios, France in autumn 2015. The album was mixed at AIR Studios, London in early 2016. The first opportunity anyone will have to hear any of the songs from the album will be to watchOne More Time With Feeling, directed by Andrew Dominik (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Killing Them Softly). The film will screen in cinemas across the world on 8th September 2016, immediately prior to the release ofSkeleton Tree the following day. Originally a performance based concept, One More Time With Feeling evolved into something much more significant as Dominik delved into the tragic backdrop of the writing and recording of the album. Interwoven throughout the Bad Seeds’ filmed performance of the new album are interviews and footage shot by Dominik, accompanied by Cave’s intermittent narration and improvised rumination. Filmed in black-and-white and colour, in both 3D and 2D, the result is stark, fragile and raw PO:https://shop-eu.nickcave.com/products/skeleton-tree-pre-order-vinyl PO: https://shop.nickcave.com/products/skeleton-tree-pre-order-vinyl
  23. Is anyone having issues checking out with Newbury? Never had any issues before but it keeps saying "address not verified - approved" when I try to confirm??
