PO Band of Horses - Why Are You Ok
anchorclose replied to twentytwo's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I picked up my second copy last year from Amazon UK. Also, there's one on Discogs right now for ~$52 USD shipped https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?master_id=653105&ev=mb&format=Vinyl EDIT And one on Ebay Australia for ~$45 USD shipped http://www.ebay.com/itm/BAND-OF-HORSES-ACOUSTIC-AT-THE-RYMAN-NEW-VINYL-/142016860855?hash=item2110dd52b7:g:igEAAOSw9eVXVasj -
PO Band of Horses - Why Are You Ok

Picked up the B&N exclusive today. The last few BOH releases took awhile to grow on me, but I'm liking this one already after a couple listens through. As mentioned above, the record itself sounds fantastic as well. -

I really like this new song. Somewhere Else was a good record overall; "Chris Isaak" in particular was one of my most played songs of that year. Really looking forward to hearing this in it's entirety. -

PO Band of Horses - Why Are You Ok

I really don't think Mirage Rock is as bad as the general perception makes it out to be. It definitely took me a few more listens to get into, but I definitely wouldn't classify it as terrible. I would concur that the record I listen to most often is Live at the Ryman. I was at one of the shows it was recorded at, and also went to the acoustic date there, so it probably has a lot to do with the sentimentality attached that record. I'm very excited for this record. Can't wait to actually hear a new song or two! -
Does anyone have any insight as to why they just stopped playing abruptly? I NEED CLOSURE.

Mind = blown I remember the art from that cd popping up in my iTunes when I imported it forever ago and wondering why it looked like that.

Beautiful collection, dude.Really wish I could score a sealed version of Holiday At The Sea (can't remember if they ever even came sealed). Just makes me nervous having one opened copy. Wasn't aware there was multiple pressings of it. Is there any difference between the two? I'm willing to let my copy of LL go, but it would take a pretty ridiculous offer.

That MBD show would be so incredibly rad. I'm originally from Indiana so I got to see them a handful of times with some really great local bands. The first time was in some odd dorm/open area at Indiana Wesleyan with one of my favorite bands, husband&wife (this is still one of the best shows I've ever been to). So glad there are people out there with a solid connection to this band; they were truly special.

PO: Sturgill Simpson - A Sailor's Guide To Earth

Sturgill was on Joe Rogan's podcast again this week. For those of you that are into podcasts and Sturgill, I highly recommend these two episodes (#564 & #740). -
Greenville, SC - Horizon Records - RSD Question
anchorclose replied to shenanigans's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
There's only one other record store in Greenville (that I know of), named Cabin Floor Records. I've only lived here for 5 or 6 months but those are the only two I've heard of or seen. Horizon is pretty rad. Decent selection of new and used -
This is one of my all time favorite bands. Really wish someone would press Floating World. Bought a copy of Luminous Luminescence when I was 18, and it is still one of my prized possessions. Bought a copy of Hymns off eBay a few years back too. Good luck with your search.

David Bazan - Blanco new LP pre-order (5/13)
anchorclose replied to boops_popmarket's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I mega regret not subscribing to the Bazan Monthly series...had the feeling at the time I would. Excited to hear these songs as a proper release. I'll definitely be going to the Asheville date of the tour -
7" sale so i can pay my property taxes
anchorclose replied to recordplayerguy's topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
Mortgage nerd here: Escrowing is not a requirement through most lending institutions. Most people just don't have the huge down payment and high credit it takes to avoid escrowing. Good luck with the sale, dude.- 11 replies

I loved his first two records, and will buy this one out of respect either way, but I can't say that I love this single or the Vinyl theme song either. -
