  1. just another dose of telling you how darn bad my HT "clear fuchsia" is with surface noise. tried to listen last night again to side A. I really CANNOT play this on my table without cringing. there are even loud pops in part of it. this isn't just a little surface noise. dang, I guess i'll have to spring for a second press whenever.
  2. haha. I actually didn't. I really couldn't do it. too much other better pop out there right now if i'm gonna fill that need in my life! i don't even listen to it on spotify. I know I keep saying it, but I really hate that this is a part of rk discography.
  3. only reason i'm putting this on here is because, after reading a couple of pages, I didn't see more than one or two albums I've ever even listened to, let alone put in my top ten. so here's to something [potentially] new in this thread: in no order and off the top of my head: Sleeping at Last - Keep No Score The most beautiful album in my life. Descriptive lyrics and the perfect amount of orchestral love. The Format - Interventions & Lullabies Where it all started for me. Heard "Tie the Rope" while working at Hollister (ha!) in 2005 and never looked back. Jack's Mannequin - Everything In Transit If I could call anything #1, it's this. Never attached to any album more than this one. Mae - The Everglow Such clean amazing pop/rock. Great voice, great guitars, great melodies, and awesome "concept" album. Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want To Be Edging out one of a few Dashboard albums as my emo inclusion, it was, in my opinion, TBS's purest effort. Relient K - Mmhmm (Time will tell if FANSD passes it up) I love Matt Thiessen's music. This is the most wonderful sunny album. Paramore - Brand New Eyes Possibly my favorite mixed album of all time. Listened to it a lot when I was touring. Last time we got to hear the Farro brothers write for Paramore--sad. Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism It just has to be on there. These songs are timeless. TIMELESS. Damien Rice - O By far the album I've listened to least on this list, because it's depression perfection. fun. - Some Nights Only thing in the last couple years I've included on the list. Music is a different thing for me now, but I truly love listening to every song on this album.
  4. hey I don't know if you're watching the b&c thread too, but just in case you're not, I just farted
  5. Anyone heard an actual response from Chris about the surface noise? I know that's just how it will be, but I'd be interested in an explanation of there were one. Honestly just real curious how something like that happens ya know?
  6. Yeah you'd be cool with come now sleep. It's not edgy enough to hate but very easy to fall in love with. The album is appreciable. Not just good songs. There's only maybe one or two songs that I'd even recommend on their own. Very similar to tdag for me. Like not that they sound all that similar, but they kinda serve the same purpose for me. Just a well out together album I can love every aspect of.
  7. Just got mine in from best buy. It was backordered for 2 weeks and ended up with purple. I'm confused. Was clear the retail? Is it out? I just read this entire thread and saw a few posts asking for pressing info but no answers. Anyone contacted razor and tie?
  8. what about putting that long of a record on a single makes it that way, though? I mean, groove widths don't vary, do they?
  9. how does this happen? and I mean this in the real, inquiring way--not the sarcastic, rhetorical way.
  10. one of my prized possessions. mmm that purple marble looks delicious. hopefully you'll find someone willing to sell cheaper once this release surfaces.
  11. I know I'm being lazy in not looking up the song, but whatever the track before the "8 eyes all on you" song is truly unlistenable. also the beginning of the acoustic track. SO MUCH NOISE
