Great Job. Way to run strong and run mostly negative splits. Yesterday was the absolute perfect day to run. I felt like I could have ran forever. I ran 18 miles with an average pace of 7:58. I ran miles 10,11, and 12 at around my marathon goal pace.

If possible I would like to be in on a Harley and/or Joker.

Thanks man. Just keeping put the miles in and your times will keep improving. I've only done 3 workouts with the club so far, but it is a huge help and boost. I like my me team when I'm running, but without the group pushing each other I know I wouldn't finish the workouts. I feel like it is going to be the best think I have done since started running.

I'm still here and I've still been putting my miles in. I joined a running club last week and the workouts have been killer, but they make me feel a lot better. We meet on Tues & Thurs. Yesterday's work out we started with a 1.5mile warmup. Then, we proceeded to do 6 x mile repeats with 800 recoveries between each set. Each mile was 6:45-6:48 pace until the last one that one was 6:33 pace. Felt real good after the workout. Legs today, ehhh a little sore with probably to a 4-5 mile easy run. Ran 2 5k's last Saturday. Pr'd the 1st one in 19:26. 2nd one I didn't think I would be able to finish it, my legs were so dead, but I was able to finish it in 20:01. Got a few races coming up but then going to ease of the races and start marathon training. I would really like run a sub 19 5k this year, but sub 20 was my goal and I achieved that, so might wait til next year.

Most runs should be done at an easy pace. If you are pushing yourself on every run your either a) going to get hurt b)get burnt out on running c)plateau and not see any improvements.

Also, good runs everybody. Bummed that my long run got canceled because of thunderstorms.

Good job to everyone. I need to get my mileage back up. I wouldn't have ran in them at all yet, I would break them in by walking around in them a week or so. Just like around the house and whatnot.

I got one cause my sister wanted it, she ended up being able to pick it up. So I don't need it.

ran a couple of races. Not happy about most of the results. Ran a hm on 6/7 finished at 1:32.47. I wanted to be closer to to under 1:30.00, but my right calf was tight the whole race. Ran a 10k last Saturday. This is probably my least favorite race of the year wanted to finish it under 43 minutes finished it 42:39, probably could have done it under 42. I ran a two mile race after that one and finished it in 12:18. I took a couple of days off to rest and because of the heat, but I need to get back and run. I got a 5k this Saturday and really want to get back under 20 minutes.

I think you will nail your pace for your race. Good luck, also smart choice on not using your new shoes. I would wear them around for a couple days before actually running in them. Yesterday, I ran the farthest I ever have before(17 miler). I am not sure if it was the cool day or what. I do wish that my pace was a couple seconds faster, but I'll survive with what I did. Can't wait to get over the 20 mile mark. Keep those feets moving peeps.

I had a 5k this weekend, was really hoping to continue my sub 20 streak, but that didn't happen. For some reason this course always gets the best of me. Did run a good 13 miler yesterday, so I was happy about that. I don't have any races this week, so I'm going to rest the old legs a little bit because the race grind will start on the 24th with 5 straight weeks of races.

Nice, I'm working on it now. I got 10 or so shinies right now, but I'm hoping to get more when I get that shiny charm.
