Coming off the heels of January’s four-song Temporary EP, Jimmy Hewitt (Lost Film's sole permanent member) is joined by his touring band for this one-off single. Recorded over three hours at Converse’s Rubber Tracks studio in Jimmy's hometown of Boston, the song reflects on the nostalgia of seldom returning home.
 
“Silver Keys” exists at the intersection of last summer’s Imago LP, and the most recent Temporary EP. While not as bombastic as the former, or nuanced as the latter, “Silver Keys” is melodic in the subdued tradition of Yo La Tengo or even Death Cab for Cutie. It continues to build on the on-going growth of the band since Jimmy released his first demo under the moniker in 2014.
 
“Silver Keys” also marks the third entry in our Private Press series. Pressed on made-to-order hand-numbered square 7” lathes, “Silver Keys” will be on sale for a one week period. At the end of that week we will press the exact amount ordered, and that’s it. No repressing ever. This is your only chance to ever own this 7”, so if you want it, order by March 28th. All orders should ship about three weeks later.

Threading are a shoegaze band through and through. Despite their very obvious nods to slowcore pioneers Codeine and Bedhead, Threading's major influence can be traced back to the ethereal and dreamy beginnings of shoegaze. Formed only last year in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Threading have already released two EPs, a split 7” with Unconditional Arms, and have shared the stage with the likes of Nothing, Pity Sex, Touché Amoré, and Pianos Become the Teeth, all in a relatively short period of time.This Fall will see the release of You Are Never Enough, their third EP. By far their strongest offering yet, the five song collection brings together the heavy and forthright aspects of their Azure EP, with the hazily ambient vocals of their Willing In Woe EP. You Are Never Enough will be released on September 18th via The Native Sound, on limited edition cassette tapes and digital download.
 

Not true... I just got a tape pressed by NAC in three weeks.
 
Like Jeff mentioned earlier, we sell full-length tapes on average for $7. What most people are failing to realize is this – as with my label, RFC gives you a digital download with their tapes. Using their latest pre-order as an example (Spencer Radcliffe), the digital price is $8, the tape price is $7. There's a $1 difference for these two items. Tapes used to be priced at $10-$13 back in the 80-90s, and obviously didn't come with a download. With inflation that would be A LOT more today.
 
Put simply, tapes still have extremely quick turn-around time, and $8 is not a bad price to pay for them direct from a label.
