Complains about shipping costs but would have also complained if he/she/it had missed out on getting one. Makes sense.
There's no harm in mentioning it. Justin might have said, no problem email the store and we'll refund you the difference and then I would have had $20 to spend on another DA record. Thanks for coming out though.
Also, had I not gotten one, I wouldn't have complained I would have been happy to save myself $300 and just continued to listen to my original pressings.

Yes, just got an email from my mom saying my boxset arrived! Kind of blows that the postage was $23.50 and I paid $44 though..
-
So, mine never arrived today. Tracking hasn't been updated since Friday. If someone at Canada Post stole it, I'm gonna flip my shit. Highly unlikely, I'm aware.
-
Mine should be delivered today - not that I'm going to see it today. Gotta wait for another 11 days. Lame.

Mine is in Richmond, BC (like, 20 minuntes from Vancouver) but won't be delivered to my parents house until Monday. I'm going there this weekend but not going back for two weeks after that... ugh. Sad times.
-
On a side note, did anyone else get overcharged for shipping? Paid $37 and the actual cost ended up being $18.
My shipping was $43.. if it only costs $20 I'm not gonna be happy. Justin would we be able to email the store and get refunded the difference?

Mine won't get to my parents house until the 20th, I won't be at my parents house until the 25th - whomp whomp.

Mine has shipped, no email yet - hopefully it'll arrive by Friday

Aw. Mine didn't get shipped!

I wish they had of put out more of those tour diary videos, the ones they did during part of the Crisis tour. Hands down the tour diary from Las Vegas when they lost Steele is the greatest thing ever.

I watched all four last night, was so great seeing all that old footage again. They were so young and tattooless.

heres a easy way to change it up if they do repress the box set. do the next batch in color. And press 2000. The color will be less rare so the flippers, i mean 1st batch buyers wont be to mad. and the guys/girls who get in on the 2nd batch can be happy. oh and limit 1 per address and guarantee that if you get 1 in your cart its yours for 5 minutes so you can check out.
Hahaha

You obviously didn't get the part were I wasn't complaining...they should easily be able to talk some specifics. Thrice released their live 3xLP on 3000 units and it is still fairly easy to pick up if you missed out. I just want to know why 1000 was the number chosen? This is a vinyl forum for all things vinyl and the people who missed out that are upset, me not being one of them, have every right to ask all the questions and voice all the concerns they have.
That's totally understandable but look at DA's pressing info page, they rarely press more than 1100 (THATH 4020 is obviously an exception). And something like this boxset, I'd rather them press 1000 excellent quality boxsets, than 2000 decent ones. It's like people forget DA is not considered a major label, we all know just by how long it took to get these out that pressing these 1000 was a huge amount of work.

The Facebook comments on George's post are killing me haha. So many people saying vinyl(s) and talking like they know something about vinyl (when clearly they don't).
-
People need to get over this "why didn't they press more" argument. I'm thankful they pressed 1000 when they easily could have just pressed 500 (Jesus, could you imagine?). It's a limited edition boxset, so they pressed a certain amount. Yes there were site issues but the same thing would have happened if they had pressed 2000.
PS - yay! Justin's back!

I don't understand why people are complaining about the 1000 limit. If you look at all the other dine alone vinyl releases, 1000 seems to be a pretty standard number for an initial pressing, especially of something that is meant to be limited.
This.

Not fair for people to rip into Justin, he's just one person at the label. He didn't singlehandedly put this out.

I work very very hard for my money.
Assume all you want.
Plus gcarn is a legit AOF/C&C collector. Sorry to hear you weren't able to get one (yet).

Yes! Was it my post? Did taking the breath help? Haha
I'm so happy I could fly across the country and hug you! Not sure what happened with my shipping/taxes though... Was only charged $30 GST and no shipping cost...
-
Thank god, finally got it. Same thing happened to me that happened to daegor...
-
30 minutes I've been trying to buy this thing. I'm just about ready to save myself $322.

Can't believe there is $35 in tax on this, I feel like I've never been charged tax on a record from DA before

Finally got my hands on mine over the weekend. I am so impressed with everything - even how it was shipped so I take my previous comment back. Even my dad was floored by how great everything looked (and he's been collecting vinyl for almost 40 years). The only downside is that there's a pretty decent scratch on one side of Self-Titled that my dad says will most likely tick (haven't had the chance to play it yet) and another smaller scratch on one side of OC/YC and one side of Switcheroo. Other than that, it's all so amazing.
