  1. Finally got my hands on mine over the weekend. I am so impressed with everything - even how it was shipped so I take my previous comment back. Even my dad was floored by how great everything looked (and he's been collecting vinyl for almost 40 years). The only downside is that there's a pretty decent scratch on one side of Self-Titled that my dad says will most likely tick (haven't had the chance to play it yet) and another smaller scratch on one side of OC/YC and one side of Switcheroo. Other than that, it's all so amazing.

  2. Complains about shipping costs but would have also complained if he/she/it had missed out on getting one. Makes sense.

There's no harm in mentioning it. Justin might have said, no problem email the store and we'll refund you the difference and then I would have had $20 to spend on another DA record. Thanks for coming out though.

Also, had I not gotten one, I wouldn't have complained I would have been happy to save myself $300 and just continued to listen to my original pressings.

  3. heres a easy way to change it up if they do repress the box set. do the next batch in color. And press 2000. The color will be less rare so the flippers, i mean 1st batch buyers wont be to mad. and the guys/girls who get in on the 2nd batch can be happy. oh and limit 1 per address and guarantee that if you get 1 in your cart its yours for 5 minutes so you can check out.

    Hahaha

  4. You obviously didn't get the part were I wasn't complaining...they should easily be able to talk some specifics. Thrice released their live 3xLP on 3000 units and it is still fairly easy to pick up if you missed out. I just want to know why 1000 was the number chosen? This is a vinyl forum for all things vinyl and the people who missed out that are upset, me not being one of them, have every right to ask all the questions and voice all the concerns they have.

That's totally understandable but look at DA's pressing info page, they rarely press more than 1100 (THATH 4020 is obviously an exception). And something like this boxset, I'd rather them press 1000 excellent quality boxsets, than 2000 decent ones. It's like people forget DA is not considered a major label, we all know just by how long it took to get these out that pressing these 1000 was a huge amount of work.

  5. People need to get over this "why didn't they press more" argument. I'm thankful they pressed 1000 when they easily could have just pressed 500 (Jesus, could you imagine?). It's a limited edition boxset, so they pressed a certain amount. Yes there were site issues but the same thing would have happened if they had pressed 2000.

    PS - yay! Justin's back!
