The Official Fat Wreck Preorder Thread
gutzonborglum replied to thebiglebowski's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
If anyone is going to any of DH!'s three record release shows next month and would be willing to grab me a copy of the record they'll have there, I'd be forever grateful. Album is killer. -
PLEASE READ: VC DOWNTIME SUNDAY MAY 1
gutzonborglum replied to admin's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I remember being thrown off when the boards were switched over from proboards, and there being the same backlash. I'll give it some time to settle in, and get the kinks worked out before I make a judgement on whether or not I like it. -
Direct Hit "Brainless God" vinyl info and more...
gutzonborglum replied to redscare's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
On a somewhat related note, if anyone is going to be at the release shows next month in either Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago and would be willing to pick me up a copy of the new record there, I would extremely appreciate it. Let me know! -
I've been hoping/thinking it was a shitty day/argument between the group, who is usually in good spirits. I've had historic arguments with my wife, and we both are aware during them that it is only venting. Next day or three we hash it out and are back cooking deviled eggs or whatever the hell it is we do

Muncie Girls - From Caplan to Belsize
gutzonborglum replied to matt's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm hoping for that as well. They had been talking about a new album, and new label for quite some time. No mention of it at all though with the breakup. -
PO Now: The Falcon "Gather Up The Chaps"

I live and breathe great pop punk like this. But can't listen to anything but Prince(I'm from Minnesota) Only people I can switch to are Tom Waits and Neil Young, which make me really uneasy, because I feel like either one of them should have kicked quicker than he. *drunkpost* -

RIP Prince (2016 is officially the worst)

Fuuuuck. Never would have guessed this. This is like Johnny Cash and Johnny Carson level disappointment for me. -

Collection(for the most part) For Sale
gutzonborglum replied to gutzonborglum's topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
Potentially, but far less inclined than the first go-round. Thanks for the look though! And the list on the page is not as up to date as my deadformat list. -

Yeah for the same variant, a shirt I'll never wear is not worth ten extra bucks -
I don't carry any ill will. You guys run a tremendous label. I am really just curious. I remember it was fairly well advertised through both your site, as well as Jesse's. Things slowed down, and by and by any mention of the sub was erased from existence. Two 7" releases, followed by an exclusive /100 7" reserved for those who subscribed. As long as the music is coming, I'm happy as a lark.

I love discogs for what it is: a database. Can't beat it. I just don't ever see myself transitioning my collection over to it. Besides the insane amount of time it would take, I just do not like sifting through other people's lists on that site. It's incredibly cluttered, and I always close the tab after about a page and a half of looking. I get the draw, and the benefits of discogs, but it's going to continue to be deadformat as the best option for me. Simple, easy to view list keeping.

The Official Fat Wreck Preorder Thread
gutzonborglum replied to thebiglebowski's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
That's what I mean. I'm thinking the clear/green splatter is the "Kelly green", and the transparent green/black splatter was the mislabelled store edition. Either way, this album really surpassed my expectations, which were set pretty high to begin with. -

Awesome album. Looks like there are two variants for this guy floatin' around. Word is the green w/ black splatter was supposed to be the Fat Store version, but got wrong labels.
