Not sure if anyone is looking here these days, but great deal on Forever, by Midwife, at Amazon Canada.

    CDN$ 14.46  with Prime

    2 in stock right now.

They're on bandcamp if you want to give it a listen first. Price is unbelievable, actually.

That was a great price, sadly I missed that one.

I did find this one though, Secret Pyramid "Embers", if you're into ambient/drone stuff. Great price at $15.14, much less than the label: https://www.amazon.ca/Embers-Vinyl-Secret-Pyramid/dp/B08J1SK797/

Oh no, I get why it's $13.  More that it's hard for me to spend that much on shipping.  I'm not really mad about it, just that it makes me think on whether or not I want order from Room 40 or hope for a US distro.

Gotcha. FWIW, I'm pretty sure US distros may get it, and also some other EU retailers with cheaper shipping options to the US.

Rafael Anton Irisarri - The North Bend is getting a reissue on clear or black.  $13 shipping to the US is a bit tough to stomach, haven't looked elsewhere yet.

I mean no disrespect, but $13 for shipping a record in between two countries and continents is actually a decent price for most record collectors who don't live in the USA. Sadly, not everyone has access to media mail prices.

I wouldn’t consider proper releases of Paramount, Live and Loud, and Unplugged with some extra material as “non essential cash grabs”.

Unplugged has already been widely available on vinyl. Tacking on a few rehearsal tracks on a vinyl release isn't really essential. Think about it, they're rehearsals, they were never meant to be released. As for Paramount and the L&L, they are great performances, but unless you're a die hard fan, they're not really essential to Nirvana, like the albums are.

Agreed. The Glitterbox reissues of Ambient 2 and Fourth World 1 are both quite good. Though I'm still puzzled as to where this notion that Harold Budd might be standing in the way of a reissue is coming from. Is there an interview or article to indicate this? I'm not trying to pick a nit; I'm genuinely curious. I've seen it written on other forums as well and it just seems like such an odd notion. He hasn't stood in the way of any of the previous reissue series over the years. His own solo material has been reissued. Don't get me wrong, it's not impossible, but barring new information it seems highly unlikely.

I don't think Budd is necessarily standing in the way of this happening, it's just that once more people are involved in a project, it may lead to delays and certain complications. I have a feeling that those Eno/Budd albums will get eventually reissued as well, but they might take a bit longer. FWIW, some of the most seminal Budd albums haven't been reissued on vinyl such as: Pavilion of Dreams, Lovely Thunder, White Arcades, etc.

Is that Nevermind pressing any good? I've heard a lot of them are garbage. I've been holding out for a Pallas pressing...just dropped some serious cash on a Pallas In Utero the other day.

Pretty sure the Nevermind reissue that has been available for the last couple years is pressed at Pallas (even says so on the sticker on the cover), and I believe it's more or less the same as the ORG pressing from several years ago. Unless there's a newer/different pressing of it.
