  1. interesting, i only saw the "100 colored in store" part of that
  2. i dont think they are. has anyone in nashville been into the store today to see if there are any left? what are the odds... edit: i went in at 4PM, they were gone quickly
  3. mine was in at 5PM on 12/2, so I feel that it should be reassuring that everyones says pre-ordered
  4. my merchdirect order also says pre-ordered on my account, my paypal has been processed though, not sure if we are all in the same situation or not
  5. so this is the second release on the LITA "modern classics" imprint, LITA is very similar to Numero in other aspects, hard to find funk/soul and folk/country releases, neat stuff. their first release was mercury rev's "deserter's songs". here is a self-indulgent video of that release, obviously doesnt speak to the quality of the pressing, but the packaging is nice. !
  6. LITA is a great label, but I cant speak to the quality of the pressings. Excited for this.
  7. not according to the band, no official pressing exists, unless it happened in the last year or so. i know they pressed meadowlands but im pretty sure this never happened
  8. bootleg, no official pressing was ever done. i would still love to have a copy
  9. in this setting, treat it like artwork. would you pay quite a bit of money for a nice piece of art for the walls, that you also enjoy for other reasons (favorite band, rare, etc). i think that its cool to buy it in that setting, not so cool to sit on your expedit, however
  10. loved that hospital ships. anyone got low level owl I/II for sale?
  11. great : how about just dont print any more color ones. couldnt sell the black copies?
  12. i dont know, there cant be that many viva voce fans out there...seems like a niche band. actually, since production costs are probably the biggest expenditure, it would seem more reasonable to press more records and shave a buck or two off the cost.
  13. examples: bought plenty of new releases with great packaging for well under $20 (appleseed cast, hospital ships, war on drugs) and then find a record that i like (viva voce) for over $20 with no real reason to be priced that high. does it have more to with record labels, or is it something with the artists. also, what is the incentive for a distributor to press 100 copies of a release that can only gross <$2000.
