Oddly enough the price of original copies -at least VH1 & VH2- seems to have been going up since the last reissues came out. I used to see tons of VG copies from $3-5, now they tend to be priced $7-10. That's what I've seen in Chicago / Philly / DC anyway. Pricing strategy to make the reissues more appealing, or just a bubble?

have a mint copy of WNITA on Caroline with NO jacket (long story). if anyone with a really beat up copy plans to upgrade to this reissue, hit me up - i'll take it off your hands for a fair price to get my hands on an OG jacket!!

can someone explain to me why ordering directly from the label is MORE expensive than ordering from Midheaven (or in my case grabbing it in a shop) ???

i have all these except for s/t (or '3' or whatever), sound quality is great, colors are a nice match. GO FOR IT! there's another one on color, 'unripened', that is a bootleg from the acetate that sold on ebay a few years ago. sound quality on that one is pretty meh, but that's to be expected.

scored it on black from Reckless a week or so ago - sounds huge, nice'n'warm.

LOL at kids who've probably never listened to VHI or VHII talking shit to this. That said, yes Tattoo starts things off on the wrong foot - they probably should have left it off altogether, as it's pretty incongruous with the rest of the album. As for the rest of it, I was pleased with how heavy it is, considering the godawful ballad-band VH turned into after booting Dave out. It's true that nothing here hits the same level of awesome as any of the singles off the first 5 lps, but neither are they any worse than some of the less radio friendly stuff on Diver Down or 1984. My ONLY complaint is that the tour seems to consist of SEATED stadium shows. If I can't mosh old people into oblivion while 'Unchained' plays, why even go??

pretty sure they were insured, but they weren't 'lost or damaged'. they were 'delivered'. i'm also served by the 2nd lowest ranked post office in the country [60647 w00t!], where they threaten to have you arrested if you "talk back" to the folks at the counter. i can't tell you how many times i've watched people bring in package claim slips only to be told that it 'isn't [t]here'.
