  1. none of those pics have the spirals as vein-y cocks. bummed.
  2. two years ago a friend and i pressed a record limited to 100. the box from the plant arrived fine, i merged the records with the jackets & inserts, then shipped half to my friend on the east coast to sell. i sold out quickly, and he was still sitting on 20 of them, so i offered to sell them here and send him the cash. he shipped 20 back to me with tracking. checking the USPS site from work, it says 'delivered'. awesome. get home - no package. mail carrier has a key, since our boxes are INSIDE the building, so it couldn't have been left outside and snatched. call USPS. "you live where? oh, that's so-and-so's route. err, he's on vacation. i dunno who's covering for him". call supervisor. "yeah the person covering that route says she delivered it. no you can't have her name. you'll have to complain to the sender". WTF??!?! 100 records + art & inserts = $800 sold to stores at $8/ea to recoup costs 20 records = $160 we lost on ebay copies were selling for $50 via buy-it-now FML / FUSPS
  3. Saki in Chicago (retail side of CarrotTopDistribution) had a new copy of the 'deluxe' version of Rest last time I was in there. https://sakistore.net/mailorder/product_info.php?products_id=3252
  4. yep, looking for the 7" on Badorite from these FL fuckups. Sell me yours for CA$H mo-nay.
  5. have wanted to score a copy of Feel The Darkness for a while now. looks like i should wait a little longer for the remaster.
  6. reeeeeeeeeeeeeally looking for that Cave In.. $150 to whomever's willing to give it up!
  7. that shirt is rad / hilarious. of all the bands to do a ripoff shirt of, the fact that Sunn would pick one of the fastest bands ever.. then again, i always forget that Greg Anderson used to be a sXe hardcore dude before he discovered WEEEEEEEEED.
  8. Musicol in Ohio will do runs of 100, although the setup costs (plating, etc) are the same, so you're looking at about a grand there. I did a 7" there two years ago and it came to about $700 all-in.
  9. this thread is backed. awesome band/dude. (sorry if i got your hopes up, CS)
  10. unrest acquired! pm'd about the minor threat. keep 'em coming!!
  11. last chance for holiday ca$h. would do $200 for Cave In or the Ulver Trilogie, easy.
  12. damn, was hoping the Dangers 7" would be in there, too
  13. bump. AFI acquired. will also trade my copy of The Bronx 'I' if you've got what I'm after..
  14. Some additional recommendations: Stray Toasters by Bill Sienkowicz Cages by Dave McKean both are awesome, idiosyncratic, mixed-media masterpieces.
  15. Earn $$$ from the comfort of your computer! Use it to buy xmas presents / drugs / ammo for the impending insurrection! That's right, friends, Cardiac is paying big money -we're talking Ebay dollars*- for your luxury pre-owned records! Push, pull, or drag your mouse to that 'PM' button if you're willing to part with any of the following: A.F.I. - Sing The Sorrow 2xLP (Dreamworks, red vinyl) Acme - To Reduce The Choir LP (Edison, clear vinyl) Cave In - Until Your Heart Stops (Hydrahead, clear vinyl) Feederz - Jesus 7" (Placebo reissue, black vinyl) Minor Threat - Out of Step LP (Dischord FIRST PRESS w black back) Pig Destroyer - Terrifier 2xLP (Relapse, white vinyl) Ulver - The Trilogie 3xLP (Century Media, pic disc box set) Ulver - Shadows Of The Sun (Jester, greyish vinyl) Unrest - Perfect Teeth 7" Box (Teenbeat) I'm open to trades, as well, if that's your thing. Hit me up!! [*please note that "Ebay dollars" does not = dnzgsgrl prices]
  16. I actually haven't spun that rec in a long time ha. It's one of those ones that you're so familiar with that you never play just because you've heard it so many times. But the second it was gone I'd want to play it :/ it's cool. it occurred to me after posting this that if I sold them as a 'lot' on ebay, I'd bring in almost enough to buy a copy of 'II'. so I may end up with it yet
  17. I'll swap you all the other Sandman trades in exchange for your copy of Danzig II ;P
  18. i <3 you too, victim @Justin - thanks for the info. my suburban snoozefest of a job now seems cushy by comparison!!
  19. i'm "pretty sure" that's an as-yet-unfounded assumption. in fact, the whole point of this thread was to solicit facts to sway me one way or the other. a shitty product does not necessarily equate to shitty people. i have plenty of AWESOME friends in AWFUL bands, for example. so unless you happen to be hiring, IVWT...
  20. i ask because they keep posting a job opening in their accounting department (clerk, not CPA) here in Chi, but i have no idea whether it would be an improvement on my current gig at a large, soulless corporation. obviously Victory puts out a lot of garbage, but are they at least a cool place to work? or is it simply a faux-casual company whose product happens to be music?
  21. FACEPALM the polite route: go to CollectorsFrenzy.com >> I suspect you will be unfamiliar with at least HALF of yesterday's big-money records. reflect on the absurdity of the above statement, and be content that your particular tastes encompass more affordable subset of collectibles the snarky route: what are these 'vinyl' and why do people spend so much money on them??!?!?!?!
  22. forgive me if this ought to be under 'sale/trade', just curious as to whether anyone's still stocking this or if it's sold out everywhere. thanks, dudes!
  23. sorry dudes, i would be happy to sell it *IF* someone else out there were hawking 'Until' on clear. then i'd just take your money and give it to them. the problem is that -unlike my other wants- I can't simply buy one off Discogs when I'm feeling flush. moreover, i either don't care about the stuff that's hot on this board (touche, tj, et al), or i bought it for $10 a decade ago (coheed, brand new, the bronx, etc). i know that makes me sound like a dick, but the point is that most trading that goes on here doesn't really interest me.
