  1. Akron, Ohio sludge cretins FISTULA release two new 7"s on Saturday, May 30 2015. Limited to 500 copies. 100 on Green/Black splattered vinyl and 400 on standard black. Features artwork by Sinister Illustration (Christopher Parry from DAMAD), center labels by Jann/Skin Coffin and back artwork by Scott Stearns/Wizardfool. Recorded by Eric Braunschweiger, vinyl mastering/lacquers cut by Dave Eck/Lucky Lacquers. Tracklist: Wood Glue Destroy The Handicapped (Fang cover) This Is Sodom, Not LA I Love Nothing (GG Allin + ANTiSEEN cover) This four track EP was recorded during the VERMIN PROLIFICUS session in 2013. The final recording from the 'Boston' lineup. Two originals, two punk rock covers. Songs about huffing glue, setting fires and dope-dealing piece of shit rapists. It is loud, it is pissed off... it is anti-fucking-everything... get assaulted by IGNORANT WEAPON. "What separates Fistula from other similar bands in the genre is their ability to take the dark, dense, muddy, slow but aggressive tempo and suddenly explode into a fierce blast of hardcore-laden, napalm-coated power punk that lifts you off your feet and savagely slams you into the concrete until your bones are nothing more than useless powder before returning to the sticky molasses that is the dark doom of what you thought the song was going to be in the first place. Fistula is not only a band for fans of Sludge, but equally a must-listen for lovers of modern day hardcore and thrash alike." -cassette culture blog click here to order from the band (sold through PATAC in the USA) click here to order from Bad Road (Russia) click here to order from Let The Bastards Grind (UK) 2015 Poisoned Mind Records White vinyl limited to 300 copies 'Never Trust A Cop' features Alex Smith from Weymouth noise rockers NIGHTSTICK on bass for the title track. 3. RAJOITUS/RATSTAB Limited to 350 copies: 150 - White Vinyl 200 - Black Vinyl STREAM/ORDER HERE: http://www.patacrecords.com/distro/Rajoitus-Ratstab-Split-Vinyl-EP "A shredder of a split from Swedish hardcore ragers Rajoitus and Providence band Ratstab, who make their own hard-hitting racket. Rajoitus started in the early 90s and were on hiatus until recently. They've reconvened with a revamped lineup and tear through their five tracks with a focoused fury. Ratstab play in a slightly noisier and chaotic vein--something of a Siege influence in their sound and a few Swedish nods." Al Quint/Suburban Voice (www.patacrecords.com) "Gone are the days when one side of a split got the wear…our extreme music scene(s) continue to explode with fucking awesome bands, and here are two on what has briskly become a sought after slab of duel-heaviness….Rajoitus is some killer classicist Britishesque politicore, speeding things up from there with 5 cuts of fist-shake and slam- inducing fast punk, pushing under vocalist Jani’s croaks of sincerity and outrage. ‘Maailma on Kaunis’ opens anthemic, ass-kicking to 110 mph…the band gets right to it with a head-smacking attack beyond verse-chorus-verse. Providence Rhode Island’s Ratstab spew hard on the obnoxiously noisy pummeling side of things with gut-churn adorned, larynx-stripping hatred from singer Scott, atop the band’s sickly excellent skull-bouncing hardcorebulence. Abrasive buildups to grand shrieks from rhythmic walls burning with feedback. Already receiving heavy airplay in my personal rotation." (review by Robert from SIEGE.)
  4. Unquestionably one of 2014’s finest doom releases, Blood Farmers‘ long awaited studio return, Headless Eyes, is set to be released tomorrow on vinyl through PATAC Records. Their sophomore outing and first with drummer Tad Leger (ex-Toxic) alongside bassist/vocalist Eli Brown and guitarist Dave Szulkin (also of The Disease Concept), it’s an unpretentious slab of classic-minded horror doom, rife with memorable tracks like its sprawling 10-minute title cut and “Gut Shot,” but immersive, eerily psychedelic and spiraling continually downward. Since Headless Eyes was 19 years in following-up Blood Farmers‘ self-titled debut, your guess is as good as mine when they might get around to putting out a third one, so all the more reason to note the occasion of the LP coming out. If you haven’t heard it yet — and I’m sure you have, because you’re up on it like that. Dig in: ORDER THE VINYL: http://www.patacrecords.com/distro/Blood-Farmers-Headless-Eyes-LP Blood Farmers ‘Headless Eyes’ will be hitting stores worldwide 12/09/2014! Be sure to pick up the doom metal masterpiece on vinyl! 150 on Red Vinyl -SOLD OUT- 450 on Black Vinyl “Who would have thought that the within doom circles well appreciated band Blood Farmers would ever release a follow-up to their ‘Blood Farmers’ debut? Okay, the band had reunited in 2007 and did play live quite frequently, but unfortunately bass player Dr. Phibes passed away in 2010. Vocalist Eli Brown took over bass duty and the band continued with in 2009 on drums Tad Leger. Tad Leger, you say? Yes, the tad Leger of Toxik’s two albums fame. First technical thrash and now doom, that is a different ballpark entirely. In 2011 Blood Farmers even played at the renowned Roadburn festival. But at the time I didn’t expect any new studio work. Pleasantly surprised I was that nineteen years after their debut there is now a follow-up in the guise of ‘Headless Eyes’ in front of me. But will the band be able to achieve the same level as before? Well, I shouldn’t have worried for a second. What a scorcher of an album ‘Headless Eyes’ turned out to be. Still traditional doom in the vein of Saint Vitus and Internal Void with quite a bit of stoner. Six absolute top songs is what this album contains, be it the title song or the instrumental ‘Night Of the Sorcerers’ which clocks in at over ten minutes or closing cover song ‘The Road Leads To Nowhere’ which is taken from 1972 horror film ‘The Last House On The Left’. All doom diamonds of the purest form. ‘Headless Eyes’ is up to now the doom album of the year for me and I am of the opinion that this album can become a true genre classic. I am as happy as a kid in a sweetshop with the return of Blood Farmers in recorded form.”Limited to 600 copies. 150 copies on opaque red vinyl, 450 copies on black vinyl. All copies include a double-sided ‘grindhouse’ insert and 5?x5? sticker of the cover art. Originally formed in 1989, BLOOD FARMERS combine the atmosphere of ’70s horror with heavy doses of psychedelia and doom in the tradition of BLACK SABBATH and SAINT VITUS. The band’s 1995 debut on the legendary Hellhound Records has been cited as an influential underground classic by such bands as ELECTRIC WIZARD and CHURCH OF MISERY. BLOOD FARMERS‘ current lineup includes Dave Szulkin (guitar), Eli Brown (vocals) and Tad Leger (drums; ex-TOXIK). “Headless Eyes” track listing: 01. Gut Shot (6:17) 02. Headless Eyes (10:49) 03. The Creeper (4:51) 04. Thousand-Yard Stare (6:34) 05. Night Of The Sorcerers (10:15) 06. 5. NEW LABEL SIGNINGS! STRONG INTENTION - Razorblade Express EP (Out June 2012) Maryland bands never fall short on extremity. Since the mid-‘90s STRONG INTENTION have been punishing the underground with their own blend of New York-influenced hardcore breakdowns and blistering grindcore. Their unique sound has allowed them the longevity to play out and tour with such undisputed acts as Cripple Bastards, Disfear, Phobia, Extreme Noise Terror, Rotten Sound, D.R.I., Lock-Up and Misery Index, among others over their extensive career… and they’re just getting started. STRONG INTENTION have an extensive back-catalog of releases behind them and their latest slab of audio discontent is hardly an exception. Entitled Razorblade Express, the six-track behemoth features a bass work by Cattle Decapitation’s Derek Engemann as well as a guest appearance by Eyehategod frontman Mike IX Williams on the title track and “3rd Space Gorilla Generator.” With the first press limited to just 500 copies, this isn’t one to sleep on. Give me vinyl or give me death! Comments SI founding frontman Zac Ohler: “It’s been far too long since we put out a record, so having these six songs of ‘no hope/no future distort’ released by a killer label and having long time friend Mike IX join us in this act of terrorism seems to be the perfect fit. It’s time to rise and grind!” Razorblade Express will be released via PATAC Records on June 1, 2012. Razorblade Express Track Listing: 1. Razorblade Express (featuring Mike IX Williams) 2. Messiah Whore 3. Holes In The Wall 4. 3rd Space Gorilla Generator (featuring Mike IX Williams) 5. Rat Factory 6. Containing thirteen no-holds-barred and vitriolic as heck anthems, Revilers builds on the EP’s (Isolation, Stand or Fall - both on Patac) the band have released previously and fully realises their stance on the world and how these individuals see it. Featuring words spat by two vocalists, JH and S (who can also be found wielding a guitar each), Revilers take a firm approach in their punk rock sensibilities and whilst this is a band with something clear to say, that message is never forced down your throat. A lot of politically charged bands are inclined to do that and it’s refreshing to hear a young band taking their time with their points and letting them seep into your subconscious rather than stomping them all over your face. As such, Revilers can be enjoyed on two levels - as a fast paced, crazy good fun punk rock record, or as an album with that something extra to say. “No Bullshit Reactor,” “Quit My Job” and “Sick Of Being Sick And Tired” hiding a deep dislike of “the man” behind the always welcome gang vocal chant and the occasional guitar solo - not often heard in this genre. Revilers certainly have something with this debut and never seem afraid to cross the expected boundaries. Throwing in slightly slower moments in “All Ages” or the guitar flourishes in “Negativity,” they are finding their voice in a fairly saturated market. Revilers definitely rocks hard. - Scenepointblank.com BLOWFLY: BLACK IN THE SACK Born on Valentine's Day, 1939, Clarence Reid worked in the cotton fields of Georgia as a boy. He passed the time by singing dirty parodies of popular songs - "Do the Twist" became "Suck My Dick" - and when his grandmother heard what he was doing she exclaimed, "You're a disgrace to the human race, and no better than a Blowfly!" And so a legend was born. When he was 13 he hitchhiked to Miami to pursue a career in music. Clarence began singing at local record "hops" where he met many of the people he would work with throughout his career. In 1964, in exchange for studio time, he worked stacking records in the warehouse of TK Records, run by recording legend Henry Stone. By the late 60s Clarence had become the central figure in the growing Miami soul, funk and R&B music scene, writing, producing and performing on countless tracks. He wrote and produced the #1 R&B hits "Clean Up Woman" for Betty Wright and "Rockin Chair" for Gwen McCrae, and he wrote KC & The Sunshine Band's first hit, "Sound Your Funky Horn" (their first gig was at Clarence's wedding). In 1965 Clarence recorded the world's first rap song, "Rap Dirty", an epic story of Blowfly as a truck driver, driving coast to coast and battling the KKK in a redneck bar - that particular song wouldn't be released in the US until 1976 but it firmly cemented Blowfly as a pioneer in rap and hip-hop - and in 1971 he unleashed Blowfly on the world and released the first full-length Blowfly album, "The Weird World of Blowfly". Since then Clarence has written, produced, and recorded hundreds of songs, including the Blowfly classics "Porno Freak", "Shake Your Ass", "Hole Man", "Funky Party" and "Suck It". His career has outlasted all his contemporaries, the disco era and TK Records, the label powerhouse that was his home for over ten years. Blowfly continues to record, tour - in 2008 he played in front of the biggest crowds of his career - and show the world how weird it really can be. Now, in 2012; Blowfly returns with his new PATAC EP "Black In the Sack," which features his reworkings of AC/DC, Michael Jackson among other surprises. 7. FISTULA - LOSER LP 500 copies will be pressed including a digital download. 100 copies clear 100 copies blue 300 copies black Artwork by Eric from GRIEF. Sludge fiends FISTULA have pulled themselves up out of the gutter they call home and hooked up with Boston’s mighty PATAC Records to release the Loser EP. This brand-new 12” is due out in September. According to FISTULA ringleader Corey Bing, “It’s very dark and sad, twisted humor, dense, heavy, tuned LOW. It sounds like The Hounds: old metal, Venom style with GBH undertones. It sounds like Death playing hopscotch with the apocalypse while finger-bangin’ Autopsy.” The six-song record features the band’s trademark sickening guitar tone, agonized vocals, and wretched attitude, worshipping as always upon the bloodstained altars of Celtic Frost, Winter, EyeHateGod, and Buzzoven. Following in FISTULA’s long-running tradition of all-out chaos and confusion, the Loser EP features an updated lineup – a nasty cast of characters drawn from the likes of Anal Cunt (drummer Nate Linehan) and King Fire Goat (Steve Barcus, vocals) alongside the OG members. At the heart of Fistula are guitarist/main man Corey Bing (who sings, plays guitar, and/or drums on some releases, depending on who’s flaking out at the moment) and bassist Bahb Branca, the toxic twins of sludge metal, blood brothers who have been to hell and back together. They started the band in 1998, and live a little cave in Cleveland, Ohio called The Fistula House. And, yeah, being the good guys in a world of shit, they have problems. We won’t name names, but a quick look at these guys’ lives over the last year, and it’s like the kind of shit you’d hear at a 12-step meeting. Divorce. Dependency. Depression. Destruction. Shit just got worse. Some people hammered away at Fistula like they were trying to make ‘em quit. But they didn’t. The band is back. Holy shit, are they back. “We had our ups and downs,” says Bing. “But shit is ON.” "Loser sounds a lot like the Mimi Bobeck character. Fat and ugly" "grinding sludge played with reckless abandon. Nothing pretty whatsoever. " "The slow bits are like getting kicked in the head by steel-toed boots. The faster pieces are like kicking some other poor yob in the head." -Metalstorm.net "whiskey-soaked, bong water-infused sludge, but here’s the twist – it’s also straight punk, almost d-beat at times." -CVLTNATION "a beautiful train wreck of malicious sludge and I absolutely love it." "Crushing, aggressive sludgy filth. That is what Fistula boasts and that is exactly what they deliver. I can ask for nothing else." -AMERICAN AFTERMATH "Expect Eyehategod/Buzzoven mixed with Anal Cunt, early Napalm Death, Autopsy/Winter/Coffins... it's a clusterfuck of low end metallic muscle that'll be about as gentle as a brass knuckle enema." "piss or get off the pot, this is the best Fistula yet!!!!" -HELLRIDE MUSIC "a true hybrid of such genres right down to every detail, rather than the chop and change method adopted by many. Fathered by grind and nurtured from a cynical mother of sludge, this release reeks of qualities of both in a distinctive yet regal fashion." -GRIND TO DEATH "doesn't necessarily sound like you're picking up some fine piece of ass at a club, rather some blown out, cellulite-covered white trash motorcycle mama who happens to have your name, and plenty of others, tattooed on her ass. It is horrendous. It is foul. It's goddamn awesome." -THE INARGUABLE "Cleveland, Ohio has produced some of the best metallic hardcore in the universe. Bands like Integrity and Apartment 213 have solidified the town’s reputation as a breeding ground for the dark and brooding side of punk. Fistula is no exception. With a much more sludgy, down-tempo approach to hardcore, Fistula have crafted a really interesting musical portrait in Loser" -DOOMMANTIA "Foul, dejected, inhuman. There are a plaethora of adjectives that go into the sound of a record by Cleveland doom killers Fistula, downtrodden, face in the gutter doom" -BROOKLYN VEGAN "With this EP, the band has captured the sound of merciless degradation in glaring, horrifically pleasing clarity. Haunting at times, violent and deadly at others, Loser is the sound of sanity crumbling to dust. The sound of the death knell ringing in our ears. If what “they” say is true…if the end is truly near, then these guys will quite possibly be playing the farewell party. The record’s title must surely be a nod to the band’s detractors, because Fistula are most definitely winning the battle!!" -FORBIDDEN MAGAZINE "This is nasty doom sludge. It reeks of death and is covered with maggots. "Loser" as it is is fueled by the four "D"s- Divorce, Dependency, Depression, and Destruction. That has been Fistula in a nutshell this last year so its no wonder "Loser" is as shit-faced ugly as it is. This stuff doesn't so much play on your speakers as creep out of them waiting to dissolve you in it's putrid, toxic waste. Approach this one carefully. You've been warned." -HEAVY METAL TIME MACHINE CLICK HERE FOR A FULL ALBUM STREAM AND ORDER LINK! - http://patac.bigcartel.com/product/fistula-loser-12-vinyl-ep Now available on vinyl with download code, or as a 'pay what you want' download. Turbonegro lost its primo front man, so someone has to take up the fight be the crown prince's of PBR fueled motor-rock so it might as well be up to Sweden's Rawhide. Motor-rock are bands who's music is guitar heavy, Motorhead worshiping, cars, beer swilling, outlaw style music. Think Zeke, early Supersuckers, Black Knots, American Speedway. I love this shit!!! Right up my alley and since Europe has few bands playing this purely American style rock n roll these days Rawhide might as well go for it." -PUNK GLOBE "Taking a page out of the careers of Birth A.D. and Hellacopters, Swedish rock'n'roll brigade Rawhide break away from their other jobs in more overbearing bands to try their hand at some good old Gearhead-style rock on Branded For Life. Still, they do more than just tear shit down; they deconstruct it to the point of stripped nuts and broken bolts by pulling from the influence of death punks Turbonegro, balls-out grit gurus New Bomb Turks, the explosive Hookers and the almighty Motörhead. Harkening back to the explosive, pelvic dominance of Red Hot Lovers colliding against Bitchin' Camaros, Branded For Life is a grinding assault of barrelling punk rock'n'roll injected with enough malicious metal to ensure there's even more danger, intensity and cacophony than one would typically expect. Bullet may have held the throne of up-and-coming Swedish dirt rockers, but with one fell swoop, Rawhide have come along, stolen it and turned it into a filthy, salaciously fiendish perch." -EXCLAIM.CA "this is a drunken party ride to the gates of Hell" -HAILS Webzine "In the vein of such other brutal Scandinavian punk rock heavyweights as Hellacopters and Turbonegro, Rawhide carve out a niche with their blackened sensibilities and relentless rock riffs." -GRAVEYARNS "Sweden is the land of origin of many rawk ‘n’ roll bands, who keep the legacy of MC5, The Stooges, and others like them very much alive. Also in this line you can place Rawhide; energetic garage punk rock ‘n’ roll is fired at the listener, hitting target as a raging thunderstorm." -LORDS OF METAL In an age where bullshit bands rule the American airwaves, one may be led to believe rock'n'roll is on life support if not dead already. Thank god for Sweden however! Over the years Sweden's greatest export has been high voltage rock'n'roll: HELLACOPTERS, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, BACKYARD BABIES, NOMADS... and now RAWHIDE. RAWHIDE's 'Branded For Life' is a full-throttle race down the highway to hell whilst making pit stops at every sleazy bar, strip joint and sanitariums along the way. RAWHIDE features members of Bestial Mockery, Kill and Protector. Fans of Turbonegro, Gluecifer, Hellacopters, etc. take notice! The band hails from Sweden and plays death-punk'n'roll in the vein of Turbonegro, Gluecifer, etc. (featuring members of Bestial Mockery, Kill and Protector). It was announced in June that Rawhide signed with Patac Records. Fans of Turbonegro, loose chicks, booze and drugs rejoiced to this extravagant news. RAMPANT DECAY/KRUDS Split EP San Antonio, TX teeth clenching powerviolence misfit burnouts Kruds and Providence, RI beer-soaked anti-everything crossover six man tag champions OF THE WORLD Rampant Decay come together for about ten minutes of loud fast chaotic tributes to hating and killing yourself. INSULT/RAMPANT DECAY SPLIT EP This split offers up a handful of tracks from two of Boston`s finest. Insult have been kicking around since the early 90`s, and they haven`t changed much. They`re still kicking out rapid fire, whiplash hardcore tunes. Fans of Siege, Deep Wound, and SSD will dig the band`s old school, speed for the sake of speed approach, which never really hits the pace of grindcore or powerviolence, but still packs a mean wallop due to its raw intensity. They offer up six songs in under four minutes, ending with the midtempo “Diddler On Patrole”, which sounds closer to Black Flag, and is the longest track, clocking in at just under a minute and a half. Rampant Decay are a newer act, forming in 2006, and their sound is even more aggressive and abrasive. They mix elements of grind, thrash, crust punk, and sludge into a colossal blender and spew out short, well constructed anthems for these shattered times. They contribute three distinct tracks to their side of the split, and each has its own defining moment. “Apocalypterian” juxtaposes blasts and chainsaw guitars with slowed down sludge, while “Pigshit” is characterized by its infections breakdown. “I Wish All My Friends Were Dead” brings more of a Discharge influence to the table, before exploding into blasts for the grand finale. All in all, this is a cool split with an old school vibe that reminds me of seven inch splits of lore, from “back in the day.” While Insult definitely have that throwback vibe to them and will appeal to those who loved the This Is Boston, Not LA comp, Rampant Decay seem to have more modern sensibilities, and I can see them winning over some fans from the extremephiles that frequent this site.
