So I bought a re-release of Marvin Gaye's 1976 album "I Want You" at Waterloo in Austin, got back to Ft. Worth and dropped the needle on side one only to hear some bass-heavy bullshit hood beat and shitty rapping. I didnt recognize the voices on the track but i think the hook was something like "rip it up" Side 2 is correctly pressed Marvin Gaye. WTF. Its on Tamla/Motown. I cant take it back to the store cuz im 300 miles away. How should I go about this?

I havent liked any of their albums since Ride the Lightning. I think now with a crazy new bass player they might have some steam going with playing their thrashier shit... Just watched Some Kind of Monster for the first time and I cant believe what a flaming piece of flying shit the creation of that album was...Im surprised I made it all the way through that horrible film. Lars Ulrichs dad was the only good part where he said "If I was the producer, I would...I would delete that" and that he looked like an ancient wizard.

There are 100 promo copies from europe that exist and a lot of bootlegs. It's Prince's most funky and least poppy album. Good God I want that original cut.
