  1. i have a standard black 2xlp that should arrive to me tomorrow that im looking to part with. would like to get $25 postage paid to anywhere in the USA (i believe i paid $32 on PMT).
  2. interesting quote but not a sentiment i disagree with if i were to compare eve to a few of the lp tracks... “We all disagreed about what the strongest songs were, and which songs made for the best record. I think we’re all equally unhappy with what ended up on the album. It was a compromise. Some of the songs on that album are actually some of the weakest ones that we recorded, and some of the ones that aren’t on the album are the strongest. We’re just not exactly sure how we’re going to release them yet. Whether it’s B-sides, or an EP, we don’t know yet.” http://www.theprp.com/2017/11/06/news/converge-four-new-songs-left-dusk-us-sessions/
  3. ep is killer. might even like it better than the well intentioned virus.
  4. i really hate the overly dramatic, slow motion montage stuff. just way too much filler that could be spent on other things. rest of the episode was okay.
  5. ive listened to it about 10 times. i think its a good album with a few really great moments (it is, afterall, a converge album) but its definitely not going to go down as a favorite for me either.
  6. season premiere fell victim to all the obvious writing issues that has plagued the show for years but its whatever at this point. read this morning that viewership was estimated to be down 40% for the premiere compared to last season's premiere and down 32% compared to season 6. still a ton of people watching but those drops are substantial. if they spend the next 6 episodes just dicking around till the mid-season finale, im gonna start wondering how long this show is really going to last.
  7. Maybe i just got lucky - or they got a mix of the two.
  8. listened to it once. first take - front to back, its probably a better album than descensus (though im not sure i like any one song better than "schema"). "premonition of the hex" reminds me of glassjaw "coloring book" era. overall, it seems to be a little more of a mellow / relaxed record. for those that dont care about the variant, amazon has the standard version on prime for $15.
  9. after 10 or so listens, id say this record is definitely good but its not "trouble will find me" or "high violet" good. walk it back, guilty party, carin at the liquor store and dark side of the gym are the album highlights for me.
  10. sooo thrilled that my gf's boss flat-out insisted on sending her and a coworker to a work conference in orlando today till friday morning while authorities are literally telling people to get the fuck out of miami. so goddamn infuriating.
  11. for me, ICTYAP and Under Duress have a you fail me-ish era vibe which is a very good thing. i love all converge but i think i prefer when their riffs are little more angular / noise-rock influenced.
  12. procrastinatemusictraitors.com was listed as "very limited" procrastinatemusictraitors.com/lp5 was listed as "limited to 5000" and the buy link was broken.
  13. im gonna laugh if a standard/cheaper version goes up. seems to me there is / was two different pages: one that was listed as "very limited" for $50 with an active buy button and one that was listed as "limited to 5000" with a broken buy link.
  14. "head like a haunted house" is probably the best track on the album. for me, the record is a disappointment though and while the leak is definitely terrible quality - it still hammers home that i really hate the guitar tone (or lack thereof).
  15. for almost the last 20 years, converge has released new full lengths in the fall or close to it so not too surprised its a 7". picked up a blue.
  16. very sad. i met half of linkin park (though not chester) at a radio fest a few months before hybrid theory ever came out. unlike a lot of nu-metal bands from that era who solely relied on street teams to hand out promo cassettes and stickers for them, these guys were spread out in the crowd (in the arizona summer heat after playing their set, no less) handing out their own stuff, talking to people and signing autographs if people asked. always had a lot of respect for them because they put the work in. for its time, hybrid theory was a cool record and meteora had its moments (though i couldnt get into much else after that). RIP.
  17. I dont hate what ive heard so far. I just wish the guitar tone wasnt so thin/tinny sounding.
  18. yeah, i dont know anything about most of these venues but i dont think they'd even fill half the nile in tempe, az.
