  1. It's payday.. Treat yo self! A few have sold, headed to the post office in the morning. I'm willing to wiggle a little on some of these. Others not so much. I tried to price most at the lower end of the discogs spectrum. I'm not good at letting go. Thanks to the folks who have reached out you've all been really cool.
  2. Hello all. Here's the deal. I am trying to replace a Martin d-35 that was inadvertently trashed in transit to a show recently. The catch is, baby atticus is almost here and so there's about to be a moratorium on spending monies on anything other than diapers. I figured rather than tap into his college fund before he's even born, that I would make an effort to be a grown up and let go of some of the more choice pieces in this frivolous horde I have amassed. If you feel a price is unfair, let me know and we'll see what we can work out. Do know that I'm not looking to give these away. Also, once I've sold enough to afford the guitar I will be closing the sale. 3. So good. My boss' son is the lead camera operator on this show. He says Donald Glover is the most brilliant talent he has ever been around. Crazy genius.
  4. Eagle Rare is made by the Buffalo Trace distillery and so is Pappy. So they are all in the same family. Purely an individual taste thing because clearly, Pappy is a legend for a reason, but I prefer the Eagle Rare single barrel. Although, while it is a masterful bourbon to be sure, I do tend to think the pappy craze is a little inflated by the "rarest variant" syndrome. Turns out 2000s era scene bands/labels aren't the only ones who understand manufactured scarcity.
  5. My dad and I shared a bottle of Eagle Rare 10 year single barrel and a cigar for his birthday. Might be the best bourbon I've ever had (and I've had pappy). Super smooth and well balanced, not too much of any one flavor. Very very drinkable. I've been searching for a bottle to celebrate the birth of my son and this may be it.
  6. About to start a custom amp build. Pretty excited. Based loosely off of an ac15. The pre-amp stage will be almost an exact copy of an ac15hw- where it gets interesting is the output stage. It will be a 2x12 combo amp and I am putting in 2 output transformers and a switch that allows me to run in 3 different modes: 1x12 15w mono, 2x12 15w dual mono, or 2x12 15w stereo. I run a lot of stereo fx so being able to run in stereo without a second amp will be very nice. Being able to pair 2 different speakers for dual mono will be pretty sexy as well. Should be a fun way to spend all of my the money and free time I don't have for the next few months.
  7. It is not without its faults that I mentioned briefly above, but overall I enjoyed it more than some of the others. Has a decent storyline and tons of missions. Some aspects do get a little repetitive, but the amount that the game absolutely forces you to do to progress is minimal. I'd say give it a go. Also, personal preference but as someone who has done all of the little things to upgrade his ship, I am enjoying not taking shit from anyone on the high seas haha.
  8. Thought I liked the new single, then while on Spotify, went back and listened to Kerplunk and realized that actually, I do not like the new single.
  9. I picked up assassins creed black flag as a $3 digital download back at Christmas. finally got around to playing it a couple weeks ago. Glad I didn't pay full price for it, but the game is pretty fun. Wasn't sure how well a pirate game would translate, some of the mechanics are fucked, but overall I sort of let myself get hooked.
  10. Saw it with the wife last night. Wasn't expecting much, but it wasn't the steaming pile of crap I thought it would be. The joker was almost offensively bad, but I didn't mind the squad too much. Will Smith was in prime action movie Will Smith form and I really enjoyed Harley. Some lame jokes, but overall I thought the team dynamic was as good as it could have been with such a rushed setup. What got me most was, as others have said, the pacing. It felt so chopped up, especially at the beginning. Those character introductions- woof. I also have so much unreasonable dislike for the Viola Davis, I can't explain it. I have to wonder if the joker would have been better with more context. Read something where Leto said they shot almost enough joker material to be a standalone, yet he was only in the movie for like 5 mins. All in all, looking forward to the new dc universe.
  11. I had a mini Twitter sing a long with them last night. Really really hoping volcano comes out sometime soon.
  12. Is it just me or does this app fail to authenticate login like 85% of the time?
  13. I ordered it just because it was $14ppd. I'll post once I get it in.
  14. Not to derail the thread to talk about phone cases, but I just got a new phone and was wondering how those are, what do you think of it?
  15. That said, I am in love with this game. Love the concept, can't wait to see what future platforms it inspires.
  16. Lulz at the complete fuck up on the security terms for google log in. As much as they are sure to make off of freemium suckers, everyone in the company could retire off of the data they could mine from linked google accounts.
