PO NOW: Blonde Redhead - Masculin Feminin

Amazing! I'm so happy this is happening! -
so good

Nah, just tail swallower and dove

Yeah it was weird that they ended at 12 on the dot and Brian was literally selling merch before Aaron even had his guitar off.
-
The show was soo good. They only played about 40 minutes and I was fully prepared for another 30. Aaron had so much more energy on stage this tour and they sounded impeccably tight on their older tracks. Was really hoping for the silver on tour because I thought I read that however I was told it was either black or red and Brian wasn't sure. Also, a bunch of vinyl including the newly repressed These Arms Are Snakes. Well, 3 more shows for me and no complaints!
-
Dang, that's one show I won't be at. I opted for two days in the redwoods instead.
-
Yeah, the tour lined up with a random vacation week I requested months ago. I'm going to be camping and exploring all around southern Oregon and Northern California while catching 4 of the shows. I'll be ending in San Francisco and then heading back to Portland either Saturday or Sunday. Thanks for the compliment on the collection. I also haven't even updated that list in 2 or 3 years so it's even much better now.

I wonder what they will have on tour. Looks like I'll be hitting 4 shows!

I also struggle with The Deal somewhat. These have been 3 of my favorite musicians for a long time so I can't begin to explain the hype I had around this project when it was announced. My main struggle with The Deal is the way it's sandwiched in between these two (essentially) intro/outro tracks. The opening track especially frustrates me since the following track has another decent opening part to it that I find a bit cheesy. Then the closing track has a completely different feel to the rest of the album which is fine but is an awkward ending. But dang when they get into it, it's so good! I also truly didn't comprehend the complexity of the drumming until I was able to see them live. I find the mastering on The Deal to be a bit bass heavy and really covers up a lot of the drum work. However, what I've heard so far from What One Becomes has been killer. I remember being somewhat let down by The Deal but feeling like their next album would be gold as it seemed they were still finding their groove as jhulud mentioned. The last 2 minutes of that just released track is friggin hot fire!
