  1. Just noticed a cassette version of this exists http://24hundred.net/collections/the-wonder-years/products/no-closer-to-heaven-cassette?variant=31383257859
  2. You can listen to the split with Null here; however it still says the preorder is coming soon though https://protagonistmusic.bandcamp.com/album/split-7-5
  3. maybe I'm just being picky, but that's not how you spell 'porous'.
  4. Agreed with all the frustration with No Sleep recently. I mean, even if it is delayed and there isn't a set date yet, a simple "sorry, this product has been delayed a while and we will let you know as soon as we have a definite date" email goes a long way. Any delay I have experienced with any other label has been communicated before the initial release date has come and gone, yet this was meant to be released December 18th and still no word.
  5. I managed to grab #200/200 on their tour out here earlier this month
  6. As long as the buyer is aware that shipping is expensive and takes a while (2-3 weeks usually; longer this time of year) then hopefully you shouldn't have an issue. Every record I have purchased from overseas has arrived to me (although one took over two months from Italy), you just need to be cautious of the buyer and make sure they have positive buying feedback I guess.
  7. I don't know where I originally found the info but on my tradelist, I have the splatter /2700, the hot topic tri-colour as /1500 and the blue/burgundy as /5050. I think I may have found the numbers through discogs so might be inaccurate
  8. hopefully they bring some with them on their Australian tour in a few weeks
  9. I gotta say A Song For Ernest Hemingway would be my favourite, closely followed by You In January. Not a bad song on the record though

  11. yeah, definitely check out Missing Link Records. Depends what beer you enjoy but Stone & Wood Pacific Ale, and Matso's Mango Beer are both awesome (if you like fruitier beers) & reasonably easy to find. Also check out beers by Feral Brewing (Hop Hog is great, as well as their Smoked Porter). If you want a heap of beers to choose from, go to a place called Cookie in the CBD which have like 150-200 beers. There are even a few breweries in nearby suburbs such as Moon Dog or Mountain Goat. Finding good coffee is not an issue, as there are little cafes everywhere down alleyways in the city. My go-to spot is Brother Bada Budan on Little Bourke Street. There are a few shows that I'll be at over the first weekend of September which, depending on when you're going, you might want to check out. Self Defense Family are playing a few shows, and there are some Modern Baseball/Iron Chic ones going on too. I usually use this site to see what's coming up when I'm going interstate. Lots of tourists like seeing St Kilda beach area which includes a crappy little amusement park called Luna Park. I would definitely recommend seeing a footy game (AFL) and in September, its finals season so it should be a great atmosphere. If you're into street art, there are a few cool alleyways around the place but Blender Studios (near the Queen Victoria Markets which might interest you for souvenirs etc) is probably the best of them. If you have time, there are also companies that do bus day trips along the great ocean road for some cool sightseeing. When you're in the CBD, there is a free city circle tram which makes it really easy to get around. But walk wherever you can because there are cool shops/cafes/sights hidden everywhere. And I don't know much about vegan options or pinball, but I found a map of pinball spots here
  12. I know there isn't anything transparent about it, but it looks like you got the one you ordered (but came out poorly). https://instagram.com/p/5I_qH7qK6n/
  13. What are peoples' experiences in cancelling MerchNow orders? Pretty straightforward and easy? I'm tempted to order it just so I don't miss out on this variant, and possibly cancel if it appears cheaper through an Australian distro or 24Hundred
  14. available here if you don't find any sellers http://www.banquetrecords.com/KT1-042
  15. I feel like it'd be a failed business idea of Kramer's (such as the homeless rickshaw). JERY: So you charge people $24 to borrow $1 worth of records for a month? KRAME: Yeeeeeeep JERY: Then they send back the ones they don't want? KRAME: You got that right. You know my friend Bob Sacamano? He just moved his mother to a home. Bunch of records, and no space for them. BIGGEST Englebert Humperdink fan there is. Dozens of copies of every album and I didn't have to spend a cent. JERY: So your customers will send back all of them, and you'll have a constant supply of the same crummy records. KRAME: Giddy up! JERY: It's preposterous. It'll never work. And what are these vibes? Is that a hashtag? Do you even know what a hashtag is? KRAME: It's for the kids Jerry. Put a pretty sticker on anything and hashtag a few Instagrams and kids go crazy for it. ELAIN: Are you sure this is legal? KRAME: ....well I guess I just assumed.
  16. This guy still had the $1.99 sticker on one of his records. https://twitter.com/marc_gallow/status/598652387348357121
  17. Oops, should have specified. I picked up the black with purple starburst
  18. Surprisingly early, my record store got my copy in yesterday. Starburst looks sooooooo good
  19. They had about 5 copies of the Rot 7" when I went to the midnight opening of Clarity Records in Adelaide. However they weren't moving very quickly considering they were $30 each. Returned at 10:30am after a friend asked me to grab one for him, and managed to get the last one.
  20. I bought a copy at a show in November and it was on black. I assume B&N would be the same
