I ordered from Amoeba and got the slipmat, and my record is black.

I preordered mine from Saddle Creek and it's currently in the mail, most likely to be delivered next Tuesday.

I had this preordered through Amazon, and I got a notification today stating they wouldn't be able to send it out until the end of August.

Did anybody else do the (very) early preorder from the band's website? I opted for the Super VIP since they are one of my favorite bands, but I haven't heard anything about my order in a long time.

Same here, and I called the customer service number in the original order email, and the guy hung up on me.

Still not shipped. I wish I could listen to this right now...

I've sent 2 emails in the last 2 weeks and they haven't replied to either. I also order the new Refused album from them that stated it would ship on 6/30 and there's still no movement on that. At this point, I'll just keep listening to the MP3s and never preorder a release from Epitaph/Kings Road again.

I ordered from Amazon, and my download card is just the 10 songs, but the AutoRip is the bonus edition.

I received the 7 year anniversary 7"s (which counts as 2) and then Stranded and Fatal Flaw. So I believe they still owe us 3 7"s

I had sent an email saying if the Father John Misty 7" wasn't able to be fulfilled to please cancel my whole order, and about 20 minutes ago I got an email that simply said "Cancelled"

I'd love a copy of John Prine 78 if somebody comes across it

Has anybody seen the John Prine live album anywhere online? Also my Vintage Vinyl order now says "processing" so that seems promising.

Surprise album releases are doing for music criticism what 24 hour news networks did for news journalism. These critics are listening to an album once and claiming it's a masterpiece because they're being pressured for a review. They have preconceived opinions going into the listen, and don't really have time to digest the music and let it settle. The reviews are less and less about the music itself and more and more about getting content onto a website before people move onto the next big thing.

Are all of these issues with the deluxe version only or the standard version as well?

I went for the deluxe. Love the Mountain Goats, love Merge Records and love pro wrestling. I realize this will probably be available for cheaper down the road, but with free shipping and no tax I'd rather support the label.

If I remember correctly, they offer free shipping, and I usually receive pre-orders from them the week before the release date.
