Got a tracking number and "Fulfilling Order" as my status. Keeping my fingers crossed! Order is W8350666. So evil.

I got an email from Jump Start Records the other day (April 6) that said this: "MxPx's latest full length, Plans Within Plans, has also unfortunately hit a small snag. All the black and randomly colored vinyl has been done for two weeks now and have shipped to distribution and the band, so if you ordered a copy from the band (randomly mixed color vinyl) or from an online retailer like Amazon (black vinyl) you should either already have your record or be receiving it soon. Unfortunately, before the translucent blue and gold were completed the stack of labels got shredded on the press so the plant had to order new ones. Once the new ones arrived at the plant we had even more bad luck when a stamper (one of the metal plates that's used to actually 'press' the record) broke and had to replaced. I was told the records were back on the press again today so we should have them very shortly and to you very soon. We apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, pressing vinyl can be a huge headache because all that is involved in the process." I ordered the random color from the band, so hopefully it's on its way.

Same here, and I had to pay shipping to the US to boot. They had quite a bit of hard-to-come-by stuff, and I ended up placing an order for about $100. The order showed up in about a week and they threw in a couple of free CDs and a thank you note as well. Rad dudes. Edit: Oops, forgot I got in on their "free shipping to Canada/US" deal they had about two weeks back. Still, prices were absolutely reasonable and my stuff arrived quickly and in great condition. I'd definitely order from them again no matter what.

Since we have pretty similar tastes, I'll just throw out a bunch of bands that have caught my attention in the last few years: Touche Amore, Make Do And Mend, La Dispute, Pianos Become The Teeth, Polar Bear Club, Heartsounds, The Menzingers, Red City Radio, RVIVR, and Junior Battles.

Was not expecting it to be Sum 41. I'm surprisingly stoked to be able to pick this up. Haven't listened to that album in probably 8 years though, so maybe I should give it another spin before getting too excited.

I like Discogs and use it for my collection cataloging purposes and the occasional purchase, but their biggest hurdle to overcome is how user-unfriendly it is to add/update release information. The fact that you refer to contributing to their site as "simple" yet "confusing and overwhelming" in a single sentence is proof of that fact. The site in general is just kind of clunky and cluttered as well. They're one of the better places to go for pressing/variant/etc info, but until they fix their design issues, they'll never be the definitive source for information. All that said, fuck eBay (though I still occasionally buy there as well).

Yesterday was the most ridiculous mail day I've had in my life. I came home to 10 different packages of orders, backorders, preorders, and auctions that I'd ordered over the last 2 months: 16 LPs (a couple of them 2xLPs), eleven 7", and one 10". Funny thing is one package was shipped to my old address, so it could have been 18 LPs. Edit: OH! I forgot the cherry on top of this awesome, awesome sundae. That Alexisonfire Old Crows/Young Cardinals 2xLP turned out to be a new, unopened copy of the red/white variant (/1020), not the black/black I was expecting it to be. It was only about $22 shipped.

Some friends of mine wanted to name their kickball team Cerebral Ballsy, but it was rejected because it was deemed insensitive or offensive or whatever. That's all. I don't really have anything else to add to this thread. I think I checked these guys out a year ago and immediately forgot about them.

Haha, I just got this today and was bummed because I thought they sent me the wrong color (even though black isn't an option). Already emailed them and everything. I should have just checked here first.

I keep meaning to check it on my friend's table, but forgetting. I tried the dime/penny trick (no counterweight) to no avail. I know that someday I'll pick up a much nicer turntable, so I'm not too upset.

Guess I'll bump this. I got the orange version from the newest pressing and the a-side plays fine, but the b-side skips like crazy. Sucks, I really like this album.
