It was awesome! There was a dude dressed like Jason who was on point! It was drizzling rain all night, which I thought was gonna suck, but actually made for a foggy/eerie night, and I was under a tent so I didn't get went. Part 3 was in 3D (hence my stupid glasses), which although gave me a headache was definitely awesome to see!

Anybody seeing any cool screening of F13 tonight? This cool theater by me is showing Part 3 and 4 on a giant screen they set up in the woods at a campsite. You can rent a cabin afterwords, but my friends are lame and didn't want to. I guess you have to park your car and walk a bit through the woods to get down to the lake, where the movie is showing, and they said there's gonna be some scares on the walk down there. I can't wait!

anthemforadoomed got a reaction from hammertime in Recent purchases
My friend's parents were getting rid of their vinyl collection and he snagged me their copy of Black Sabbath's Self Titled, and Bowie's Aladdin Sane. They're in nice condition. Gonna give 'em a cleaning. I didn't buy them so I guess this comment doesn't belong in this thread.

My copy came today. This was really well done. I never owned the original CD, but it looks like they have brand new art work for inside the gatefold and the back cover. The sleeves for the records themselves have the lyrics and notes from the band about each song, which I thought was a really nice touch.
On top of that the record sounds great so far from what I've listened (Side A and half of side . In a twist though they didn't make it a colored vinyl like their previous reissues, not that it matters.
BIg D has never let me down with their vinyl pressings, so it's nice to see them finish off their main discography with this release.

Gendered stuff like that is bullshit. It makes kids (in particular) feel like they need to be a certain way or there's something wrong with them. There's no wrong way to be any gender. There's also no right way.
It's also shitty to associate strength with being a man and weakness with being a woman.

80 fucking dollars
I have a fucking TARDIS tattooed on my arm and I collect records. You could probably take that to mean that I'm a complete asshole but that also makes me your target demographic for this kind of thing and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot sonic screwdriver.
Nice try SPACELAB, let me know when it's on clearance.

What are your most hated moments in songs/albums? Not necessarily in bad songs or albums, but just moments that totally, well, suck. Here's an example:
In Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses, when he fucking sings "Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-kneeeeeees". It's horrendous and so unpleasant. Especially with that key change halfway through the song. I keep imagining his sweaty round head popping. I hate Guns N Roses anyway but that moment in particular is fucking awful.

I get it why some people prefer not using dividers. On the other hand I'm one of those who really enjoy using them! LOL
Unfortunately seems like I never was able to find a decent price solution for proper dividers (living in Canada, shipping and exchange rate is a pain)...so I make my own.
I buy 48"x48" (1/8" thick) backer panel boards and cut them.
I then make my own label / sticker (one label on each side of the divider). See pic below.
I combine a few letters per label and create band specific labels for bands that I collect, etc.
I have labels for different subcategories (Punk, Ska, Oi!/Street, Horror Punk, etc.)
Here's an example. I have more in a different storage shelf that I have, etc.

smash the windows
Mischief Brew’s debut LP, long out-of-print, has been given a new coat of paint! We've re-released the album on 180 gram vinyl, completely remastered from the original tapes by Carl Saff. “Smash The Windows” is a carnival-punk whirligig, a menagerie of the bizarre combining anarcho-punk with Eastern-European folk, Django-esque swing, Beat-era jazz, Celtic balladry, and straight-up anthemic rebel music that somehow pulls off a mix of The Pogues, Utah Phillips, Chumbawamba, Morphine, Subhumans, Motherhead Bug, Tom Waits, and some kind of dusty fairground organ that you smashed a bottle of whiskey against. Recorded in Brooklyn at Vibromonk Studios in 2004 by Danny Shatzky and Tamir Muskat (Firewater, Gogol Bordello), this is more of a musical soundtrack, with characters and settings, than a traditional punk record. It also features a slew of guest appearances by members of Balkan Beat Box, World/Inferno Friendship Society, Leftover Crack, The Citywide Specials, and more. Includes a digital download of the album, plus unreleased outtakes.
Songs:
1. The Reinvention Of The Printing Press
2. Citizens Drive
3. Lightning Knock The Power Out
4. Nomads Revolt
5. The Lowly Carpenter
6. Ten Thousand Fleas
7. Swing Against The Nazis
8. From The Rooftops
9. The Gypsy, The Punk, And The Fool (A Tale)
10. Roll Me Through The Gates Of Hell
11. Ain't It The Life?
12. A Liquor Never Brewed
13. Departure Arrival
14. Bag Of Pepper (Digital Bonus Track - Outtake)
15. The Lowly Carpenter (Digital Bonus Track - Acoustic Mix, Outtake)
