Huh? Pretty Hate Machine and Downward Spiral came in jewel cases. there is a digipack version of Downward Spiral too. not sure about pretty hate machine.

Damn thanks, $35 is great for most any 4xLP. Anybody compare the original to the remaster? The dude who wrote one of the first reviews on amazon wasnt too happy with this one I've been curious too. I've seen a couple other negative reviews, so I haven't jumped on this set.

weird. makes me think it could be dirty, but the thing looks clean, and I've never had to clean a new record before. Like I said, side A sounded just fine. Side B was popping like a f@%ker though.

Finally had a chance to give this a spin tonight (2nd press, bone/bronze). I was very happy after listening to side A. Minimal noise, some small pops here or there, but very reasonable. Side B however was a different story. I don't think I've heard a [new] record with this much noise/pops before. I was almost unable to listen to it at times. Pretty disappointing. Gorgeous music, beautiful packaging, but bad audio. At the end of the day I would rather take a black record in a plain sleeve with awesome sound over a pretty package and record with bad sound. Too bad this wasn't addressed for the second press. :-/

yeah, forgot to mention. I got my bone/bronze variant on Friday. Unfortunately I was heading out the door for the weekend and haven't had a chance to listen. The thing looks gorgeous. I really hope it is lacking any sound issues that were reported with the first press.
