I knew there was a reason I WAITED to pick this album up.

I get the whole sharing partners thing, but there aint no way anyone else be touching my records.

I almost got through half of this and then I fell asleep! A lot of big words in there man! Must have taken you a long time googling all of them. 

As a Christian (recovering evangelical) it's just distressing to me that so much energy is still wasted pushing the narrative of the Persecuted Christian Majority, when the reality is that the US is still the country with the most religious freedom, both legally and culturally. On another tip, the world is getting bigger, more and more people are raised irreligious (areligious?) or abandoning faiths passed down to them, and the concept of any sort of organized faith is abhorrent or at least quizzical to them. I myself go back and forth on it, as I'm sure many do. It's a complicated and intensely personal component of people's lives; most people can't just flip a switch and go "I've never believed in a god, but sure, there's probably a benevolent deity whose guide for living is outlined in just one of the several religions", just as it is very hard to say "this belief system, in which I have spent my entire life entrenched, has shaped my sense of morality, provided me with a loving community, and imbued my life with greater significance. IIII'm gonna walk away from it". Please use a fraction of your available empathy to try and understand why some people are so vehemently anti-religion, rather than labeling them bigots and retreating further into a self-satisfied worldview.
"Butthurt" is quickly gaining on "hater" on my list of Laziest Deflections Used In Internet Arguments.

Dude is putting out the follow up to a WORSHIP ALBUM. If an artist I respected put out an album centered around (not just informed or influenced by) something I was ideologically opposed to, I'd also be bummed and concerned that their future work was going to move more in that direction. If someone taking issue with "Jesus shit" is tantamount to religious persecution in your mind, I'm amazed that you're able to leave your house, much less use the internet. There's a war on Christmas, y'know.

I don't think he has any "aims" to out himself more when he's already as out as he possibly can be. Besides, they've had pun-like song titles for a while now. Kiss Me Dudely, Rock N Roll Mantasy, etc. I think the band just have a sense of humor about how they're presented.

I think the worst part of this thread is how many people are pining for Dream Theater and Fall of Troy records. I mean, shitty business practices are bad but those bands are eternally worse. To quote about 85% of the posts here: "That's just my two cents."

Nobody is mad at him because he's a shitty dude (although that too seems to be the general consensus), they're upset about his shady, poor business practices and treatment of his customers.Seems to me the perfect reasons not to support someone's business venture.

Josh is one of my good friends and I've actually talked to him about licensing the rights to this to do a small pressing of it. I've found a few copies of it in the wild but most were near the KC/Lawrence area where most of them originally sold. If I end up doing a reissue of it with the full band's blessing (maybe impossible) then VC will be the first to know. For those of you that really want to find it, look at places like Love Garden in Lawrence and Zebs/Vinyl Renaissance/Mills in KC. It shows up in those spots semi-frequently, as does Your Majesty. As for Vagrant, as far as I know they do not care at all so waiting for them to do a reissue is probably not worth your time

Thought this was about it getting repressed. Now I'm bummed.
